Izzy Witch this wasn't supose to be a forum for arguments. It was supose to be a place for people to share their personal art. I don't want people to fight because of something I wrote. no ones fighting...

Are you just getting the faerie, or are you getting the background in as well? I currently have one tattoo, but I'm thinking of getting another one, though I don't know of what. I like them to mean something. I'm thinking maybe the symbol of the goddess on my lower back. Here's the one I have now. It's ind of a crappy picture, but I didn't take it. I might retake it and post that up later so that you can see the detail better. This was taken right when it was finished. I didn't bleed at all (except for just the tiniest amount when the guy did the tounge), which was kind of weird, but awesome.

funny that she should call it arrogance when spouting off on someone elses post saying its all wrong, the persons wrong and that they are being arrogant and uneducated is considered arrogant? i dont know about the states but here in canada you can get a tattoo anywhere on your body and its not illegal, and im fairly sure if it was then whoever gave the charge would be infringing your right to self expression? which i believe is in your constitutions and it may be some wont do it because of such and such a reason but its definitely legal.

I don't think you no what arrogance means. Being uneducated is iggnorance. Saying that you know something and trying to make it seem like you do, when in fact you don't, is arrogance. Yes, but we do not have the same laws as you do in canada, and if memory serves me correctly, I'm pretty sure wiccan_boy lives in the US. (If you don't then sorry, I'm mistaking you for someone else) In the areas that it is illegal it is for saftey and hygeine reasons. If a county has made it illegal for tattoo parlors to give tattoo's on certain areas, it is most deffinatly valid. If a parlor is caught breaking these laws they can and will be shut down. There are most DEFFINATLY counties that have made it illegal. The first line on this website will tell you that. http://tattoos.lovetoknow.com/State_Tattooing_LawsAlso, it does not infringe upon the freedom of expression. You can still get the tattoo, just not in certain spots on your body if you go to certain states and/or counties. Also, there are no laws saying that you cannot HAVE the tattoo, there are just merely places where it is illegal to have it done. Also, Elloth, you wouldn't want to get the tattoo at all if you're worried about that. If you got it when you were old they'd have to stretch out your skin to be able to do the tattoo, then once it was done you're skin would just sag again and it wouldn't be any better than if you'd have gotten it when you were young. Also, many places will REFUSE to do it if you're over a certain age. When you grow older your skin become more prone to bruising and bleeding, making it very difficult to give someone a tattoo after a certain age.

I'm not sure if it'd be legal or not. You can go to a parlor and ask though and they can tell you. I dunno, I just remembered we had a conversation a really long time ago and where we lived came up and I was pretty sure said you lived in the US. I have a pretty good memory.
Thanks, I really like how it turned out, but the guy who did it is a genious, I probably won't go anywhere but to him. So I have to fly across the country just to get one done, but it's worth it, and I can visit my mother and stepfather while I'm there. Yeah, the guy was really surprised that I didn't bleed with the red and especially yellow. With the lighter colors they have to pierce more layers of your epidermis, and the yellow has to go pretty deep. I love it though. It only cost me $100 too, but that's because he's a friend of my mothers.
Anyone have any suggestions on what i should get next and where? I'm thinking either a small lily on my hip bone. (where only my boyfriend where see, so pretty low) I'm also thinking maybe a religious symbol, but I'm not sure what kind.

I don't disagree on every point. You just dont notice anything other than my disagreements. I just don't appreciate it when people try telling me that I'm the one that's wrong even though I've proven that I'm correct. Especially when that person obviously has no clue what they're talking about. Sorry, but on this topic, I LIVE in the U.S. I've HAD a tattoo done, I think I know the laws a bit better than you do. I've shown you websites that say you're wrong, why do YOU keep trying to argue that you are right? You keep trying to say it isn't illegal, even though I've proven you wrong. Why can't you just accept that?
This topic is about tattoo's and the legalities of them came up. I said that in certain areas of our country it is illegal to have them done in certain places, or alltogether. I provided sources that said this. Wiccan_boy is wanting to get one on his hand and it may very well be illegal to get it done where he lives and I told him how he could find out. Yet you continue to try and tell me it isn't illegal. You provide no sources, no proof, nothing. Your opinion does not outweigh that of the legal system.
And that is why I called you arrogant. You think you know all about this when it is extremely obvious you don't.

I haveto listen to my brothers friend who lives with us and he pretty much dose the same thang and he dissagrees with absolutely everything i say so i am kind of used to it i haveto listen to it every day.
Back on the topic of tatoos, how detailed can they go with tatoos? Because the tatoo that i want is really detailed and i am not sure if they can. i think they might be able to. This is a little off topic but how much dose it hurt to get your ears streched at a tatoo parlor because i am a a 2 guage right now and i want to go to an inch guage.

They can get extremely detailed, it'll just cost more and take longer to get done. Often people will get part of a tattoo done and get it finished later because of the pain or time constraints. Mine took two hours to do. Post your tattoo idea and I'll tell you if it's possible or not. Mine is pretty detailed. It's hard to see in the pic I have posted, but the face actually has individual scales.
I don't know about ear stretching, I have normal sized gauges. I've got three on one ear and two on the other. My boyfriend gauges his ear by himself, he just switches to the next biggest size after about a year. You don't have to have it proffesionally done. He says it hurts some, but not bad.
