Sario tilted her head, some curls falling in her face.
"Then again, I don't think we could possibly relax during the peaceful times. Think of it, we'll be too timid and paranoid to actually think that we're out of danger."

By this time Sario could no longer keep a straight face and she broke out into rolls of laughter.
"You're..." she gasped between chuckles, "Horrible!"

Sario paused to take a deep breath, a smile planted upon her glowing features. The fire still burned next to them, causing the elf to become quite warm.
"No..." she moved her arms around Morfinnel's neck, "Never dull."

"Never dull?" Morfinnel asked with a raised eyebrow. "Not even if it were just the two of us, alone for weeks... perhaps months that a time?"

Her smile widened, myrth creeping into her eyes.

Sario moved one of her own hands to part away Morfinnel's hair, her slender fingers wrapping around the brown strands. She kept smiling, staring into his eye and watching the shadows move over his face.

Morfinnel saw the way the fire danced in her eyes. Her slight blush, caused by the heat of the flames colored her cheeks. Without thinking about it, the cpatain kissed her.

Sario leaned her head back as he kissed her, before tilting it to the side to return one of her own. Her hand moved to the side of his face, fingers still wrapped up into his long hair.

Morfinnel pressed her hand against his cheek as they continued kissing. Her skin was cold to the touch, but he did not mind. It only reminded him of the narrow escapes they had been through and of the latest events, making the captain treasure this moment of solitude even more.

He was so warm.
Sario could feel the heat from the fire and the warmth of his touch and she loved it. She loved him. The two held in a long embrace, before she finally broke the kiss.
