He leaned back in his chair and stared up at the ceiling. Something was wrong, he could feel it.
"Excuse me." He said shortly and pulled himself up from the table and moved into an empty hallway. Reaching two fingers into his pocket he pulled up the small phone, turned it on, flipped it open, and took a moment to listened to Maniac's phone message then deleted it.
He searched the contacts until he found Wesley's phone number and hit the send button. Lifting the phone to his ear he sighed and waited for him to answer.
"Pick up you loony..."

Fred felt the pocket of her robe vibrate. "Oh no, I forgot to turn this off... your not suppose to have these in hospitals... errr could you hang on a minute Wes?" Fred asked removing her hand from Wesley's apologetically. "It could be Sam and..." I need all the help I can get, she silently added.

He began to tap his foot impatiently and continued to hear the ringing on the other end.

Fred runs out past the nurse and out the front doors of the hospital and quickly flips open the phone. If they hung up she'd just call them back, hopefully they didn't call on a payphone.
"Hello?" Fred asks into the phone.

He blinked and pressed his back against the wall. ".....Button??" He said lightly into the phone but was still taken aback.

"Button? there is no button here... wait is this a prank call, where I say there is no Button here and you ask me how I keep my pants up? cause that isn't as good as the wall joke and I don't have time for this." Fred needed to get back to Wesley as soon as possible. If this was a prank calls she swore to The Powers that Be that she would find out who was calling and make it so their phones electrocuted them.

"...Fred. Knock it off. Let me talk to Wesley." He replied quickly and shook his head. She always did like to take things to an extreme...it was amusing most of the time but not now. He needed to know is Wesley was well.

"I can't they don't allow cellphones in the hospit- who is this?!" Fred came back from her temporary distraction, whoever it was they sure where bossy.

His heart sunk slowly and he stared at the wall. "He's...in the hospital? Why? Is he ok? Which hospital is it?"

"He's- oh I'm not falling for that again, tell me who you are and then maybe I'll tell you!" Fred wasn't going to be walked over by some kid who called her button...

He rolled his eyes and hissed softly into the phone. Why did she have to be so difficult as well? "Ryu."

"The demon?" she asked astounded... did she trust him? He had saved her life apparently, but... she sighed heavily, she needed help and here was help, maybe. "Yeah he's in the emergency room, he got attacked by a demon, but I chased it off and he's stable now.. physically." She looked up at the name of the hospital they were at, she hadn't paid attention on the ambulance ride over to where they were going, she read the name aloud to Ryu. "That's the name of the place. I can't see street signs from here... look I need to get back in with him... errr and if any of the hospital people ask, I'm his wife okay?" she hung up the phone, turned it off and limped back into the hospital, heading for Wesley's room once more.

Wesley took a deep breath. He was glad Fred left for a moment. He needed to get his mind to calm down. For a few minutes he lay there with his eyes closed taking deep breaths. When suddenly a sharp pain ran through his head and he screamed out slightly. He rested his hand on his forehead and turned his head to the side. He could hear the buzzing of the machines fading away.

Getting out of the hospital had been easy. Getting back in took her a bit. No one questioned why she was leaving, everyone questioned why she was coming back in. She had to sign in on the guest list in order to get past the front door. She fought hard against the urge to giggle as she signed in 'Winifred Wyndam-Pryce'

Wesley looked in the direction of the window facing away from the door. He stared out it without and word smiling lightly at the dancing lights on the buildings surrounding the hospital. It was only a matter of time.
