I voted for Ronfar because a pope is the highest authority in the church. Ronfar was a member of the church at one time.. though now that I think about it, he isn't really all that responsible and therefore not a very good choice. Logically it would besomeone like Phacia who is mature enough and has handled the position before.
Then again, Phacia was an imposter. Her true loyalties lie with the Vile Tribe. I re-nominate... That guy from Lunar 2: Eternal Blue who was in charge of the main temple in the land, but was cast out because of the intrigue and evilness surrounding Zophar and Mauri. *shrugs* I forget the guy's name... but he seems right for the position.

I agree that Alex, with his true heart, and his intimate association with Althena, would be perfect for the job. Who better to make decisions as Althena would, and spread her message to the world. Heck, if he really has a question, he can ask her directly!

I don't think you'd go to Hell just because your immediate thoughts on priests are the child molesters. It's important for everyone to remember that priests & other religious authorities are human & can sin. It's sad that we must be so suspicious of men of the cloth nowadays. I've been lucky enough to have nice don't-molest-children priests & I can honestly say I trust them.

While Althena's body died, her power did live on in the world. Not to mention her four dragons still exist. I guess, if anything, Nall is the closest thing to a pope they could get since he's the only one still alive who was close to Althena. If we allow a girl the title, though, Lucia would probably be the most likely candidate since she's aware that her sole purpose is to serve Althena. The Four Heroes are the false popes in the game, which makes sense considering their Althena is a false goddess.

I think the real question here would be who would hate it the most? Hiro and Alex come to mind first. Think about how much they would despise being the pope. Boring job, parading about. No more adventuring, that'd be like murder.
(I don't think Hiro would like the crazy pope hat, Alex has one similar to it though).
Most likely candidate? I think Undead Ghaleon works pretty good, sure he's an abomination of nature, but he finally repented. Of course, this would have to mean he was still in a state of undeath, and not death death.
Leo's faith was shaken pretty bad, so I doubt he'd make a good one. Who do we know that likes luxury, easy life, and attention? Uh-oh, I only see one person. And that is why, in all seriousness, I vote for Ramus. Becuase he's the only one who would want the job if offered it.

*Sorry. Watched Wayne's World 2 before class this morning. It's been stuck in my mind all day.*
Still, families with money that get into religious affairs have caused trouble in the past. Heck, in real life, a couple of the worst popes the Roman Catholic church had were the ones who got in based on their family's financial status. I don't think Ramus would cause any trouble, but I'd want Alex to help him on the side. You know, when he's taking a break between adventures...
