OMG I love those so much! I thought I was the only person in the world to have read them. My favorite one was the little mermaid because of what her older sister did for her with her hair. xd

REM Sleep OMG I love those so much! I thought I was the only person in the world to have read them. My favorite one was the little mermaid because of what her older sister did for her with her hair. xd Are you kidding? These are so pretty and such neat tellings of the old tales that I really like them a lot. The fact that the art is gorgeous and really stands out makes them particularly special and worthwhile to me.
The Little Mermaid story was really cute, yeah. D: Demonstrations like that are really sweet, and I must say, her older sister looked really good with the shorter hair, too. I like these silly true love stories somehow, haha.

And I agree she looked amazing with short hair. heart I have the online copy that was first in Japanese- I was so taken by the art and desperate to read it I was about to ask someone if they could translate it for me, after looking long enough I found the english. If I invested the time I would translate it to Russian and send it to a friend of mine ^^ The only one I dont have a translation for is the wolf one. DO you have it? Also do you know where I can aybe buy a physical copy of these stories or are then only online?

Hansel, Gretel, and the Witch and The Wolf-Girl and the Seven Kids have been scanslated. =D
I think two more works have been translated but not placed onto scanslation yet, but they are available with just image + words or something.
I wish they would do these faster, but I guess because they are one-shots, they're not much of a priority. Still, I appreciate the ones that have been released! The translations I've seen are great. :]

I read them through once, and I think my current favorite is a toss up between Little Mermaid and Wolf and the Seven Kids. Wolf was awesome and the older sister lamb girl was soooooo cute that I just can't not like them, and Mermaid, of course, for the older sister. (I actually read a book that used the same premise with the enchanted knife and her feelings and such. Very awesome.) I'm really happy that more of these are getting scanlated. Definitely looking forward to more!

Definitely looking forward to more! I agree, the wolf was really cute/cool. I like that it goes with both the idea of the predatorial wolf in fairy tales, and the idea that a person who chases girls is a "wolf." It was a cute depiction for sure.
I liked the older sister in the The Little Mermaid story, too! I thought it was very sweet. I wonder if the enchanted knife and so on were part of the story originally, or in one of its incarnations? I'll check up on it, since I have at least one version of the original story by Hans Christian Andersen. Actually, now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure there was something about that, although of course, the "happily ever after" was never part of the original story, which I thought ended pretty tragically. Needless to say, I like this version much better. =P

Lol. Yep. I think I've read one other manga where there was the twist on the whole 'wolf' analogy, also. I'm not at my regular computer so I can't go find the title, but once I get home from class, I'll get the title. It's not as high fantasy as the Yurimm series is, though, more just a play on words. I think you're right about the original story of Little Mermaid being more tragic and including enchanted blades of some sort. Gotta go for the happy endings though, especially awesomely drawn mermaid girls. *drool* New definition of...seafood? I'm bad.... >.<
