...I didn't have to check...I could just tell.

They were dead.

My knee's buckled under me and I fell to a crumpled heap on the ground, exhausted.

After awhile, I started to feel the water on my cheeks and wiped the tears away as I started to feel again.

What were these tears for? Happiness? Sadness? Confusion? The pain?

I couldn't tell.

I slowly lowered my self off the ground and onto my feet, sobbing so my tears stung the injuries on my face.

I slowly started stumbling around, not knowing where to go.

Then, I heard footsteps and I jerked my head up, surprised.

There was my brother, Apollo, with the animals trailing behind him.

Then, he stopped frozen when he saw mother, father, and the Horrible condition I was in.

"W-what h....happened....?

"B-brother....I...I don't know..." I stuttered pathetically.

"TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED NOW!!!" he boomed.

"I KILLED THEM, ARE YOU HAPPY NOW, I KILLED THEM!!" I shreiked, finally cracking.

HIs face crumpled, "...How?" He asked.

"I DON'T KNOW!!" I blubbered, whiping the nonstopping tears away.

He ran over to their bodies and checked their pulses and I just stood there, feeling confused and lost. My brother is the only person I've ever loved now he hated me. I had to escape my world. So I turned and ran away into the woods behind my house. Trying to get away from it all.

he caught her while he had his feet locked in on the branch and threw her to the next branch as a black shadow appeared on the ground below he closed his eye's and flung up so he was standing on the branch and jumped up next to her without making a sound as the flame turned off and stopped glowing on the green leaves he put hes hand on the tree branch ready to pounce if it saw us and i whispered softly "get ready and watch out" he knew he worried for her he was always kind to others but never to himself he looked over at her she had a serious face he wondered why life had been so tough for a girl and why she had not died in the so many years she had lived the shadow grow darker and closer and he watched it to make sure that Selena didn't get hurt he thought he should take any pain for her because he had been though enough pain and suffering so he made sure she was ok as the feet of the thing was in sight...

the branch snapped and i fell almost instantly after i hit the ground and i saw the figure she was a red cloaked and had a shoked look as my body re-lit with
a red glow, i got up as quickly as possible and stood there waiting for her to say something but all she did was reach for her bow and arrows...

I faintly heard the sound of a branch breaking and arrows whistling on the edge of my contiousness.

I felt a throb in my leg and head, but couldn't move.

So I just laid there, feeling vulnerable.

Thats when I felt a foot connect with my side and fall on top of me, awakening me to the full pain.

I had my eyes squinted tighly in pain as I was picked up by the male, my leg dangling limply, then he put me lightly on the ground and looked at my wounds.

"T-thank you..." I said to him, feeling a bit uncomfortable because of the flames.

I sighed in relief as I felt the pain slowly but surely go away. I smiled and closed my eyes at the heat of the fire in the freezing cold of the forest night.

"So...What are you running away from?" he wanted to know.

"W-what?" I asked, opening my eyes and propping myself up on my elbows.

"I just figured that you were in a hurry, since you ended up breaking your leg." He said.

"Oh," I said smartly, "Well, I was running away from what I had just done." I raised my head to look at the stars that were still glowing brightly, despite the fire.

"What did you do?" He asked.

"...I killed my mother and father." I replied.

I smiled bitterly, "But I left my brother. He loved them and they had loved him," I said guiltily, "He didn't deserve to have them taken away from him..."

I looked down, making sure not to make eye contact.

"So...whats your name?" I asked.
