Update! The dress came in on Saturday and it's absolutely beautiful. It's a tad off in the skirt design, but the construction is perfect. It's nothing I couldn't fix myself if I wanted to.

I not sure how much my tips will go, but here they are.
Dresses
Yard sells and Thrift stores can be your best friend. Many people buy the dress, then have nothing to do with it later. My mom (who is helping me plan the wedding) managed to find two exact dresses from a yard sell in my color and since it was late in the day, she was able to get them for a couple of dollars.
My wedding dress came from a thrift store for a fraction of the original cost (and it had to be expensive, it was in a sealed dry clean box and everything).
It came with a veil, even, although I will be borrowing my cousin's instead.
Wedding Favors
Give away the decorations. My wedding is nature themed with lots of flowers. I plan on getting some simple potted plants and putting fake flowers in them. At the end of the day, I will give some of them out as wedding favors and keeping some to decorate my house with. This takes of the wedding favors and getting rid of the decorations.
