Jake growls finding himself in the compromising position. He'd lost his upper hand. "Sure Marcus. Sure. But you can assure yourself I'll be back." With that Jake melted into the shadows of the room, his creepy laughter seeming to hover in the air a few moments.
Leia watched her eyes a mixture of fear, sadness, and helplessness. "Skylar. I'm so sorry." It was all she could manager to get out. She lowered her eyes to the bed tears slowly dropping from her face,

Skylar looked to Leia, and his dagger disappeared. He took a deep breath, thankful he was gone. He couldn't think straight. He forgot about his wrist, and everything else it seems as he walked over to Leia slowly and hugged her. He needed the comfort just as much as she did. "Leia... None of this was your fault. It's okay, He's gone now... He's gone. Please don't cry."

Leia hugs Skylar tightly, though not as firm as she normally does, and buries her face against his neck as she fights back the tears, "I'm sorry Skylar. I didn't know. I just didn't know . . ." she pulls back suddenly and grabs his arm careful of his wrist, "Oh gods. You're wrist. Let me wrap that," she stood quickly and disappeared in a through the door connected to her personal bathroom which was decorated similar to the public one though more colorful. Returning she has some gauze and a wrap for the wrist. She didn't say a word as she blotted it with a towel and rubbed it with a salve that would help disinfect it. She then placed a gauze on the wound and quickly wrapped it with the medical tape/wrap. "That should hold you until the Doc looks at it," she seemed to still be avoiding eye contact with him as she cleaned up what she used and quickly put it away again,

Skylar didn't smile, as he looked almost defeated, in thought. Watching Leia bandage him, and talk, avoiding his eyes. He didn't know what to do. He knew he had to cheer Leia up, say something... But nothing came to mind. All he could think about was how Jake had killed his wife... And loved it. Then he realised that Jake would be back. He put his hands on hers. "Leia, you can't stay here. He'll be back, I know it. We have to find somewhere safer for you, and we have to warn Trinity too." He realised.

It took control not to flinch when Skylar touched her. Meeting his eyes for a moment before retuning them to the downward position, though this time they were glued to his hands on her's she shook her head, "I can't leave Sky. What about my students. I wont leave them alone. If he comes back I'll be ready." She paused then nodded, "We should warn Trinity though. She should know."

Skylar sighed. "At least stay at my place, you and Trinity. I don't want you two so far away where I can't help." He didn't want to destroy the ball for Trinity. So after, hopefully. Right now he just wanted to make sure his kids were alright. The babysitter should be there, he hoped. And she was really strong. He would just feel so much more at ease, if he could get them all somewhere definetely safe.

"No," Closing her eyes tightly Leia shakes her head as she fight the tears threatening her, "That's what got Maria killed. You letting me stay at your place. I don't want to risk any of you." She steps back and sits down on the bed once more, "I'm sorry Skylar," her voice was filled with pain, sorrow, regret, and the obvious shutter that showed she was close to tears,

Skylar felt his chest well with his own guilt. "No!" He wrapped his arms around her behind her. "Leia, don't blame yourself. Never blame yourself. Maria is gone..." He felt himself finally letting his emotions go. "My love, she is gone, and it's no one's fault but Jake's. HE should be the one that's sorry, not you. All that matters right now is for you, and Trinity, and for the kids to be safe. I want you to be safe Leia, you're all I have left." He did NOT expect the last thing to come out, but it did. He was glad no one else was around. To see him breaking down like this...

Leia jolted at something though she didn't move; she did, however, turn her head to face Skylar, not registering how close their face were. "Skylar. Kyle and Alora. We have to get there. What if he went there when he left!" She stood now, "We have to hurry. I wouldn't forgive myself if something happened to them," She was in a panic now. She stood and headed towards the door, or at least started to before realizing her state of dress. She couldn't very well protect the kids in a leather dress like she was wearing. She quickly grabbed a hair restraint and pulled her hair back before grabbing a change of clothes and disappearing into the bath room. She came back out in dark jeans and a pastel blue halter top. "Come on. Let's go!"

Skylar blinked, but then got off the bed and got ready to run over. "You're right, we have to get there quick!" He started to run out the dor, then remembered. Duh, he could teleport. He went to Leia and grabbed her hand. "Hold on..." He began to get ready to teleport.
