-After answering the cry, Kalis swung her horse around and to the side, catching up with Adrius at his right and Mirelle just as Mirelle addressed her-
"Honestly Mirelle, I don't know. The only time's I've been to Archenland in the winter I went by wagon. I don't see too much of a reason to tire ourselves out tonight, but the farther away we get from home, the longer we'll want to ride. The bandits we came up against before, are most likely nothing compared to whats out there now."
-looks back at the others and then to Mirelle again-
"But thats just my own opinion, You know I'll follow you all."

Pulling the reins as her horse sidled to the left she drew him back towards the others "Well that is why I'm asking you two, I am only leading the soldiers when we must fight, you two know the terrain, Adrius the most, I really just wish for your opinons. What do you think is the best choice Adrius?"

"I tend to disagree Errant Mirelle. Narnia is safe, none would dare cross a royal caravan for fear of reprucussions. His royal catness is in the area after all." He paused a moment as he trotted on ares. "I tend to think we should take a smooth but steady pace. we can make archenland in a day and a half, stopping for one eve. It'll be no problem." He road on ahead now, his eyes open as he guided the team and watched for enemies. He could see the front end of their carvan just behind them, almost out of his vision but still there, and kalis was beside him.
"Well soldier, what do you think of your first trek?"

-turning back from watching the caravan-
"I can't pass judgement yet, as its just begun. But I'm glad to be out and going, instead of nervous and waiting."
-Kalis points to the very back-
"I'm not worried though, I trust those we have with us, and the trip to Archenland will be easy enough."
-Laughs and smiles wryly-
"After Anvard you may want to ask me again though..."
"What do you think?"

His long fingers trailed through his coarse brown hair. He smiled a bit, looking from the girl to the front once more, his free hand running through Ares's fur.
"It'll be fine till we hit the desert. Dont worry to much. After that, well, i have my concerns "

Sighing Mirelle watched the two ride on "Good, very good." Looking down Umaro eyes are already closed a soft snoring coming from him. She chuckles and tucks him into her cloak keeping the chill off.
Pulling back on the reins she wheels her stallion around and makes a circut of the group. Looking over her fellow Unit members and friends she worries about what this trek will bring. There will be hardship and death, people will have to die, and though she will fight for Aslan with her dying breath she wishes that so much blood did not need to be spilled sometimes. Riding through the group she whispers words of strength to each person she passes, giving them compliment about there weapons or asking about family. She regains her spot in the head of the line and starts to sing softly "the song of Gypsy Davy rang..."

"delighted through the night..." *the Friar intoned as rode at Mirelle's side.* You have a very nice voice, Lady Mirelle. You would have made a good minstral.
*From his pocket, Friar Jason produced a small flask, and took a swig, before offering it to the narnian* Here, this may help keep off the cold.

Smiling she shakes her head "Thank you Friar however I make it a point never to drink when battle may occur, but I would love to sit with you around the fire some night and sample your flask. Thank you also for your compliment but if you heard my sisters sing you would think me sub par."
Tucking her hands in her belt she tighten her hold with her knees, the horse well trained enough to know that she was giving no command. "What brings you this way Jason (if I may call you that), Narnia has a task to complete but I heard nothing of the Silverhawks having any issues in this area.?"

You may call me that, yes. As to my reasons for going, I have been asked to look after the younger narnians on this mission, as a favor to the commanders. It's not all about money, you know. Besides, there are several safe houses that need to be checked upon. some of them are so infrequently used that they need to be evaluated from time to time.
*Jason swayed on his horse, his eyes watching ahead, but his ears trained on the flanks.* I can't wait till we're in the woods. It's a lot easier to spot things there. I know you may find that strange, but you can hide anything in this tall grass.

"that is very true, grass can be quite a hazard. Well I am glad that you are here you have been a help to our new ranks for awhile now." Smiling again she begins to hum her song softly, thinking. " So much is happening, with so little of it in the light. " She says almost absent mindedly.
"oh excuse me I need to make a circut of the train, It was nice to see you again" With that she grabs her reins and tightens her knees urging the horse forward.
"The wise yet folish maiden, left her candles burning bright..." sung words traveling behind her in the wind.

-The Caravan travel uneventfully for a full night, reaching and going into the forrest. Night approaches and the weather, which has been mild all day turns cold and windy, a last reminder of Narnia before they reach Archenland.-

He slowed their pace drastically as they rode, making conversation with kalis as his senses were alert. He could sense their caravan growing closer and closer to them.
Drawing his bow from his back, he knocked an arrow. He could here movement in the brush beside them as the wind whipped up around them. He saw the large dear leap from it, bounding forward. He let an arrow fly without thought, which took the creature in the chest and sent it back. As Ares aproached it, he waited for the group to grow near. turning towards errant mirelle as she approached, he smiled. "I have my dinner...and we should camp her for the eve. that way if we leave at sun up we'll make the boarder by noon. any objections?

Dismounting Mirelle looks over the twelve point buck "No objections at all. I will set up the watches." Turning towards the caravan she whistles a set of simple codes and movement stops. Turning back towards him she watches as he quickly and expertly dresses the carcess. "I can offer you some fish to add to your meal if you wish, the blue group will handle set up and fire preperation tonight, that means red will have to do breakfest and take down tomarrow. What watch would you like to take there will be three?"

Three different three hour watches, and Soldier Kalis some of this kill is yours. the rest ill save for my pack.
He looked to Mirelle "I'll take first and second watch. " he told her as he drew the hatchet from his pack and sunk down next to the kill. As he talked he began to slice and chop a hunk of meat meat from the back. "I'll want to take that tree," he told her pointing up at it" with my bow and cloak. Theres a nook up there that'll hold me perfect, and one below it for a second guard to set with a bow." he tugged back at the hide, exposing meat blow, then drew his curved knife on his thigh, and slowly sliced a large slab. He tossed it to ares, who drew it into his teeth, then sauntered off.
He went to work quartering it now. "The second shift, i'll sit by the fire with steel beside me awake until shift ends, then ill sleep beside the fire. If need be i'll sleep in the sattle some tomorrow, but i worry about the nights in the boarder lands. Not all of Jadis's control has left Archenland...
