heart ~ So I went to the store and I'm browsing around. Without paying attention I run my hands through some wind chimes. I only realized what I did when the people around me started staring. crying I had such a dumb face of delight when I did that.. Oh gosh it was embarrassing. ~ heart

::[ Your mom would have ten sets.

::[ Disclaimer: You probably had to be there for this one.

Okay. So we (Circe, AFD, and I) were talking about smart jokes, and I said that in the song Quidam, the composer makes a band joke, which is kinda a smart joke. You have to be in band to understand. He says something about there being a feature for soprano sax and violin, but not to worry, because its cued in accordion and sitar. (Soprano sax and violin are uncommon for a marching band. Accordion and sitar are basically unheard of.) So we were discussing what a sitar is, figured that it was probably a string instrument, and Circe said it was something like a guitar, but you sit to play it, so its a "sit-tar."

After awhile, we realized you could sit and play a guitar, too.

This is a sitar. ]::

::[ ...I was being nice by saying "we."

>> Allergy medicine + me is not a good combo.

...So last night, on my way home, a police car with his lights on speeds up behind me. I didn't see him until he was right on my bumper, so I kinda panicked, because I was on the phone and its kinda illegal to be on the phone if you are still on your POP (right?). Then I hurried up and hung up, pulled over, and the police car turns off onto a different road and speeds on away.

>> Freaked me out. ]::

cop cars are very scary... and i think it is, if you're still on your first license (POP) you aren't supposed to be on hte phone... either that, or while you're sixteen...

::[ It was scary. But can they even pull you over for that? Or is it only if you're doing something else wrong at the same time? ]::

::[ xP Today at band rehearsal, I had a Pirates of the Caribbean flashlight (it has a skull over the light bulb and stuff) sitting on an empty stand (we needed flashlights for our performance). Mr N was talking in front of us/me, and all of a sudden, "Ooh, what's this!?" And he started playing with my flashlight. "Thats awesome!" and he put it down and continued talking xP Can you say A.D.D.? ]::

lol that's great...

and I think cell phone talking is a secondary offense... not really sure... In NYC, since it's illegal for everyone to talk n drive... you cna be pulled over for it
PostPosted: Wed Apr 30, 2008 8:29 am

heart ~ Mr N sounds like a funny guy. Around here you can be pulled over for very minor offenses. We got pulled over once for not signaling while coming back into the lane after passing. Most of the time the police will stop someone if its a minor offense just to check on the person.

Which leads to another funny incident though at the time I didn't think so. We got pulled over by said officer and after he goes back to the squad car my friend turns to us and says "Hey! Who wants to be on Cops?" ~ heart

LOL! I probably would have punched your friend to ensure he doesn't move... but minor is different from secondary... secondary means that they can't pull you over for it, but if they pull you over and you're doing it or not doing it (seat belts) they can ticket you...

They can pull you over for any traffic violations... like turning into the wrong lane, or not using a blinker... and they usually do that to check on you.. not that they really care that there was no signaling or something

heart ~ Yeah, I'm not really a violent person. I think I flicked him.
I don't really know what laws are minor secondary or any thing of that nature. I do know what felonies usually are. But we got stopped for the turn signal not on when passing into the lane. I swear he stopped us because we were teens. ~ heart

yea, usually... make sure you're doing everything else correctly... I got pulled over for turning into the middle lane of three, rather than the one that was closest to me... even though that lane ended 100 feet later <_<
