Haha, I think about the same. smile

"It's just a game," but I think the what kind of games and how people play them really speak to their character. What do you all think?

I agree 100% , But It's really hard to turn them down when I face a decent gaians who ask me for donation especially when I'm broke xd

SLAP! <.< What's wrong with you?

No, just kidding but I do think you should learn how to say "no", but I guess you are just nicer than I am. (^-^)' I just can't see a point in giving in to beggars here. It's not like they are going to starve to death or suffer some kind of harm if they don't get any gold from you. I don't like it when people assume just because you took all your spare time and gained gold for an super expensive item that you have gold to just give out like you aren't questing for other items and have the nerve to get upset about it. Well most I've seen here aren't like that thank God! But some people can be real pests. >.>

It depends for me: if someone got hacked or fake login scammed, or if they're just questing, then I don't mind as much if they ask for gold or common item donations (or if they put anything; that shows taht they're not being picky idiots). It's the ones that post in the WRONG FORUM and beg for a uber-expensive item that gets to me. I got reported for calling a girl lazy and saying that there were more desrving people once. I didn't mean it as an insult; more as a fact (those hacked, wrongly banned, you get the idea). Thankfully, I just got a warning only, so I'll have to watch how I word stuff, apparently. But, she was in the wrong forum to begin with; not my fault. neutral Oh well.

But yeah, there was another time where I had this one girl on my friendslist and in a guild I made. Her items disappered one day (for she was wearing nothing but cheap stuff) and asked if she could get some money cause she got hacked. Naturally, I did (she wanted 1K, but I was questing for Kiki here at the time, so I agreed to 500g). Then I looked into her profile; turns out she had sold her stuff, and therefore was lying. But I couldn't report her for taking my moneys (plus I forgot about the trade after she lied to me, and she complted it later), because I agreed to the trade, but I did get her to admit she was lying. Couldn't report her though, but I kicked her out of the club and put her on ignore, so we're even. smile

But yeah; I've got lotsa stories of Gaia. xd

Yeah, you don't want to reply to trolls or call people names even if they are wrong and are in fact acting every bit of a jerk or whatever have you, it just encourages the cycle to keep going and can ruin a forum. Just ignore them and save yourself the headache and avoid threads that have been trolled or spammed to death.

Sorry, to hear you have had that kind of trouble. Hope things look up for you. Feel free to share your troubles though as sometimes sharing can make us feel better. heart

rolleyes its happened quite a few times to me too.like if someone sees your name on the fishing stats, they assume you have tons of gold, but thats usually not true.
for me it depends on the situation.if someone new to gaia or if someone gets wrongly banned i'll gladly help them out as much as i can.sometimes i'll buy people a good fishing rod if they really can't afford it,but recently i had this kid say he "lost"the rod i bought him.after thinking about it,i gave him another, but then he came back asking for items for his avatar.when i looked at his profile,he had way more stuff than me rofl
come on people this is a game with play money.its not the real world where we have to pay bills and buy food.also i want to say if anyone offers you a trade and you don't know them, refuse it.i've heard a lot of bots do that so please be careful. heart

Don't worry Onion no one's going to murder anyone over monopoly money (though killing people over real money is detestable as well) but when gaming is your hobby (especially with hard core gamers) you don't like it when people cheat- especially in online communities where it could get you in trouble and kicked out. >.> People are usually passionate about their hobbies (at least that's my experience) so yeah some of us do get riled up over being cheated but I wouldn't worry... at least I don't think you have about anyone here. ^_^'

You're right. I never do trades with people I don't know. stare I'm suspicious anyway of someone who wants to trade out of the blue and I never knew of them until they sent the request.

smile well i'm really not worried for myself but i do worry about my friends who may not know to be careful of some things.the sad thing is it just seems like if there's any possible way to cheat at anything, some people will find out how and do it without even caring who they hurt in the process sigh............ heart
