The meaning of life is:

...Just that. Not that it's nothing, and at the same time, that it is nothing. The meaning of life is not any one thing.

Some theories concerning this profess meaning, or the inherent point that validates the prime function of something, but in doing so they only attempt to explain the prime function. For example:

The meaning of life is to improve the self and acquire power, and to use that power upon others and the world. Ie, to excercise to the fullest extent one's Will to Power.

That is not a meaning. It is, in the context, a prime function: the underlying and overarching function from which every other function of life is derived. One must ask: why would one do something like that? And therein lies the meaning. For example:

If everybody excercised their Will to Power to the fullest extent, we would not fight over the trite issues we do now, and would instead compete over the highest levels of ever-rising superiority, and eventually we would ascend to a higher level of enlightenment and existence as a species.

Thus the meaning of life is self-improvement and the resulting competition through the difference of individuals. In other words, self-improvement and competition.

Throughout the ages plenty of prime functions and meanings of life have been created, and all of them encompass some part of life and emphasize that. Plenty of people believe and disbelieve in, support and refute, varying meanings of life, so if a single true meaning of life (after all, the question is always: "What is THE meaning of life?") is to be found, the questions must be asked:

Which of all of these theories could possibly be correct (in the sense that nobody could ever find a way to dispute it)?

And

Shouldn't a single, ultimate meaning of life encompass every aspect of life and emphasize all or none of them?

Simply because of those questions it is easy to see that you simply cannot find THE meaning of life. There is no such thing. No human mind could ever possibly create a concept that could encompass every aspect of life, and be impossible to dispute. The various theories are formed from different human minds, each from a different walk of life, each possessing different opinions and perspectives concerning the world.

So now we come to my opinion: what was originally stated.

If you consider the blank space again, you could immediately infer two key implications from that:

-Nothing. As in, life has no meaning.
-Anything. As in, life can have any meaning.

The latter is my opinion. The meaning of life is no one thing; it differs depending on the person who is discussing the subject.

If somebody thinks that the meaning of life is pleasure, and from that its prime function is hedonism, that's their meaning of their life.

If somebody thinks that the meaning of life is pleasure, and from that its prime function is to bring pleasure to others, that's their meaning of their life.

If somebody thinks that the meaning of life is order, and from that its prime function is to create and maintain order from within the chaos of existence, that's their meaning of their life.

If somebody thinks that the meaning of life is enlightenment, and from that its prime function is to know oneself, others and one's reality, that's their meaning of their life.

If somebody thinks that the meaning of life is sprituality, and from that its prime function is to practice any religion or *insert religion here*, that's their meaning of their life.

What's the meaning of my life?

Y'know, I'm not sure. blaugh I will loosely support some theories, but I'm still trying to discover what I truly believe is the meaning of my life.

The meaning of Life is Truth manifested as Conscious Choice exploring itself in order to transfigure from a Static Reality to Dynamic possibilities.

Or, in other words, the meaning of life is to seek that which is actual and indisputable within one's own existence (since truth is subjective due to the division of individual consciousness, all truths that are discovered only apply to the lives that discover them) and under one's own choices, and in doing so transform one's existence into something different, which is only one of many possible forms. This is something that can only be done by existences that are aware of their existence: existences with consciousness, or beings.

that is not what I said.

this part
Quote:
something that can only be done by existences that are aware of their existence: existences with consciousness, or beings.

is fairly correct, however

this part
Quote:

he meaning of life is to seek that which is actual and indisputable within one's own existence

is backward.

This
Quote:
since truth is subjective

and this
Quote:

under one's own choices, and in doing so transform one's existence

are both completely incorrect.

there is no "one" or individual separate from choice in that "they" would act upon or act to produce "choice". The "one" and "choice" are identical. We are choice.

Choice, as us, exploring ourselves not merely in a spatial sense of being wandering through the dimension of time, but exploring ourselves expansively on all planes of being, and thus,

by exploration through simulation, we generate additional "Truth" which allows the Absolute to continue to expand. Ascension therefore is the state of moving from one Layer of relevance to the next.

this being the case, it is only logical that any ultimate being, such as a God, would ultimately also work to Ascend beyond their current domain into a higher, as of yet non existent stage.

By exploring we create the possibilities we explore.
