I was talking to a friend on MSN one day, and he was telling me about how Belphegor looks like an older and thinner version of Pokey from Mother 3.
I was like, "Who the hell is that?"
So he showed me a picture of Bel and told me the name of the anime he came from, then I looked it up and started watching it.
Been addicted ever since. :3
I confess, though, I have never read the manga.
I'm too lazy to start.

well i was staying in japan to visit my grandparents and cousins and happened to watch the very first ep one night and got addicted to it.

well, i first saw it on youtube, bel in an intro to an amv, i asked around, finally someone said it was katekyo hitman reborn, i snooped around found www.onemanga.com every manga underthesun is there, and i first read prince the ripper vs octopus head. i have to say when the anime episode of that game out i was amazed, then later when i saw bel fight hibari and use all his fancy pants moves on him, makes me think bel was only toying with gokudera, but yeah a youtube intro X3

My friend, who was already watch KHR, was talking to me at school aboout how weird Lambo's hair was , and I was just going along with it, then he finally asks, "do you even watch Reborn"
and I was like "I don't even know what it is." The conversation died from there
coincidently, I had just the week before, gotten a mix CD of anime songs from my sister and put them all on my iPod and one just so seemed to be Boys and Girls (KHR second begging theme), and it was playing and the same friend popped up out of no where, stole one of the head phones, gave a listen and said "How do you not watch Reborn, but have the song on your iPod?!"
So hen I got home, I looked up Reborn and have been obsessed aver since

Well... I found it when my sister was telling me about this crazy anime about a kid that finds out he was to be in the mafia. I was pretty much 'I wonder how popular a story line similar to that is?' and I found out it was on Crunchyroll and watched it non-stop for one weekend and half a week untill it became my new anime drug ~.~
