Saraphia smiled as she let him take the food off her, letting the small one down and helping move the food back from the entrance. She stood patiently and watched, nodding in greeting to the male. "Nice to meet you, and i find it quite funny that a big male like yourself is scared a little ol girl like me." she nudged claudia and giggled. (6)
She listened to the small phoenii explain things to her, giving her a slight nod. "I'll have to meet this one whom i am helping to save." she said playfully as she knelt down by a wall, waiting for the two to come back out. (5)
"Yes she is quite a handful, but a nice girl all the same. I am glad to have met her, even though she did think i was going to eat her." she stuck her tongue out at corvinus as she began to clean herself, not seeming to settle down too much, as if not going to stay for long. (6)

Corvinus frowned a little at being described as a "big male" - he was small and stunty, and he knew it. Saraphia's teasing got to him far too easily, he decided, and shrugged it off as best he could. "You're not staying, I take it?" he asked, watching her rearrange her feathers. "Don't worry about nipping back here if it starts raining - least we can do is to offer you some shelter. It stays pretty warm in here no matter what's happening outside. ...Ah, here he comes - that leg's looking better, Marcus!"
[6]
A black Phoenii with striking red and white accents was approaching, a slight limp in his gait. His left leg was swollen a little around the talon, but as Corvinus had said it seemed to be on the mend. "It feels better," he said in a quiet, gentle voice. "Give it another day or two and I should be back to normal. Ah, welcome - you must be Saraphia." He smiled warmly, everything in his manner respectful and inviting. It was clear that he was naturally a people person, unlike Corvinus, who struggled for civility. "I expect you've been thanked up and down for your help already, but nonetheless I offer my thanks as well. You've made up for my failings most spectacularly, I must say."
He made no remark upon the fact that Claudia hadn't returned with him. If Saraphia wanted to know she could ask, but if not he wasn't going to bother her with the details. There was nothing more dull than an overly proud carer going on and on about the eggs in the nest. Claudia was doubtless keeping them nice and warm, and would probably fuss at him later for getting this speck or that scratch on them.

Saraphia smiled softly as she nodded to Corvinus, the crimson phoenii sitting quietly as she awaited the other. "No i don't want to intrude on you, i am sure you have lots to do. However if you ever need any help catch some more food, i'm happy to help." (6)
She looked up as Marcus came in, noticing the limp. "Nice to meet you, Claudia has said nice things about you. I am just glad i got to meet her, though i believe she thought at first that i was going to eat her instead." she chuckled softly. "Anyway i'll be going now, i don't want to be in the way and i am sure you could use some rest." she said politely, not wanting to bother them. ( cool

Not having expected Saraphia to wish to depart so quickly, Marcus blinked in surprise. "If you're certain," he said, "but don't feel driven away. I know we've got the only shelter for some distance here, and the weather's hardly kind today."

Corvinus found himself strangely disappointed by Saraphia's wish to leave. This wasn't like him at all. He didn't usually give a rat's backside about what strangers - or relative strangers - wanted to do with their lives. If anything, he usually preferred that they left him in peace. But she was attractive, this red female. Perhaps that was it: he'd certainly not seen a Phoenii he liked the look of in a while. Certainly it was unlikely to be anything else this soon after meeting her. He chose to remain silent and guarded, not wishing his unexpected thoughts to be known.

Saraphia looked at the two males, smiling softly to them both as she said quietly "Well if you want me to stay awhile i suppose i can, i am in no rush, i just do not wish to impose on you." She flashed them both a bright smile, saying quietly to Marcus "But you should not be on that foot, you might hurt yourself even more." (5)
She glanced over to Corvinus for a moment, wondering what he was thinking of. He seemed to be quiet, but she was unsure whether that was because he didn't want her there, or because he did. She shrugged slightly and smiled "Well i'll hang around for a little while, besides i might make Claudia upset if i left without saying bye to her." (7)
