Transgender L A N Z E R Should the pic quest be art or RL, or quests for both? Is there a way we could work a phalla into something tentacle and elitiest based? RL, image editing allowed. Creativity awarded. 3nodding a phalla with tentacles? Certainly, the cultists plan on summoning C'thulhu once they've sacrificed the villagers or something. Not sure about elitism, that would be too hard to manage, I think.

Well, banning together and voting people to their deaths is pretty elitiest XD Would that be something you might be willing to run with some help?

It's more like a mob-party. razz And I would be able to run this, although I think I'd rather do it in a guild or a place in which I can delete posts. Normally we close the game-day some time around 10 PST, but that isn't really possible for me, so we'd be doing a closing time of sometime around 5 or something. Or someone could co-host..but it is kinda difficult to manage if you've never played or hosted a game. If people are as fanatic about it as they are on penny-arcade you'll be swamped with PMs.

Well, if we do it then, that'll help decide where we have the thread this year OR it's not like we can't have the contest thread located elsewhere. I would definately prefer a thread where you can delete posts over a guild though.
If you're running it, you can make the closing time whenever you want XD

Also: the way I've got it planned out it'll take ~5 days, not counting the sign-up period. How long is the whole GEW going to take again? gonk

Nope, not in that forum. At least we couldn't last year. Maybe it's changed? I can't remember what forums you could. We might need to hold tests.
GEW last a week, but we should have the threads up at least a couple weeks (if not a month) ahead of time.

Ok, that should give interested people enough time to find the phalla and sign up. razz There's two rules that I worry about, because it is rather easy to cheat with: 1) No anonymous contacting (ie: trying to get information out of people without them knowing who you are) 2) Dead men don't tell tales. (ie: when someone dies he/she might know something about someone, s/he should have posted that before they died.) I hope people have the decency to follow those rules, maybe I should add in a "break the rules: no prize for you, money gets distributed evenly among the others" to encourage people to report cheaters and discourage people to cheat.

There could be a sign up fee that's return to each player at the end of the game (not counted as a prize) that will be taken away if they break any rules. Think that would work? So not only no prize, but they'll be out more money on top of it. Dn't let it be petty cash either, like 5-50k. We could be evil about it to and if they do break a rule, the money is given to some really stupid usless gaian, or better yet, someone they absolutely hate =D

Although, people who act like assholes in penny-arcade's phallas are treated like s**t for years, so most people think twice before they do anything stupid or just stop visiting the forums after the fact. Gaia delivers a lot more "anonymity" so it's easier for people to act like a giant ******** and getting away with it. I'm not sure if there's a way to test anything out beforehand. confused

5k isn't asking a lot, especially since it's not to play, just a security.

I don't see why not. We could maybe put it more like a thing for making sure only the 'elitiest' people can participate XD

Eh, we'll have to see. The way I've got it worked out I can scale it back to 15 or up to 60. If someone feels like co-hosting I'd appreciate it if you'd play in a (mini)-phalla down in Penny-arcade, so you have a grasp of how the games work out over there.
