Around Halloween I gave a friend the whole cat costume anonymously with "creepy" messages for the purpose of scaring her. For example the bell collar had the message "so my kitty doesn't get lost".

But I got busted by another friend who I told my trick to and was tracked down by my friend. sweatdrop Guess she didn't appreciate my joke as much as I thought she would

That's a weird thing to not appreciate, I think things like thata are funny.

I've gotten small gold donations before.
And a couple years ago when I was saving up for a nitemare bustier (back when they were worth 20k), someone gave it to me for half the price. And once I got my friend a donation letter, because she liked the Lond character. >.>

I know both friends in real life so I know that normally she would be freaking if she got a gift from a "secret admirer" since she is the type most guys don't want to be with. Later she laughed at the joke after threatening me if I ever did something like that again.

Whose wish list are you talking about? If it's mine, the reason why I don't have much on my wish list is because I am not all that fussy about my avatar. I'm really happy with what I have and am.

Yeah, I know. I mean, I'd love some of the great, expensive stuff to just be given to me, or gifted, but I'd rather post, play, and surf the site and get gold and buy that type of stuff myself, even though it seems like it'll take forever. Makes me love it/appreciate it even more after I get it.
The things in my wishlist are just things I'm waiting to buy and if someone gifts it, well, thank you is all I can say. It's more like a 'if you have extra gold and want to gift or donate, here are some things I'm wanting to get' type thing.
Even though, I wouldn't mind being gifted an item that was released before I even knew about this site. That's different because I wasn't around to get it and some of those prices in the marketplace are crazy. It'll be a while before I break down and buy something from there.
