It truely is a great movie. I love the part where the two men find his stuff and he's like 'My name is William Blake. Have you read my poetry?' and than he shoots them. It was freaking awesome, best quote ever...

Since no one answered me last time I asked this and now in my english class we're doing even more William Blake poetry... is the movie supposed to be based off of the real William Blake? Did the events in the movie actually happen to the real William Blake? I am so confused.

I don't think it is. I however could be wrong, but how would they know all this stuff about him if he was running from the police and died in the end? My thought, but I could be wrong.

Sparrow Depp I ussually don't like black and whirte movies, but I enjoyed dead man. It was slightly confussing the first time I watched it, but thesecond time I understood, exept for the crazed indian sending Johnny out to sea... Yer i didn't quite get that bit either...but anywho the movie was kinda funny...and some of it was kinda boring for me...but other than that it was alright.

I actually have to say that I was kind of disappointed by this movie. Maybe its because I had so many praises about it at the video store that I had higher expectations..or that half the movie I kept having to rewind it to watch parts I missed while watching a new puppy at the same time...I might rewatch it to see if I really know what my likings are of it but first impressions are he's done better

I think that he was just someone that had the same name as William Blake, that's why he always looked at Nobody like he was wierd for praising him on it ^_^. I think it's just that William Blake was Nobody's hero..(that sounds really bad if you havent watched the movie...SOMEONE'S NAME IS NOBODY!! Not ...no people...you know what I mean T___T )..anyways, he was his hero, he meets Johnny Depp's character and is so thrilled that he's meeting his "hero" that he helps him out and they become friends...while the entire time William blake (aka johnny) has no idea why he is treating him as such.

****spoiler alert!!!*******
The reason the indian sent him off to sea is because he was dying at the end & that's the indian ritual that they do. He had gotten shot more than once..and was dying. So he got sent off to die at the end.
Kind of a weird movie..but I liked it!..and own it!

I really loved this movie. I love black and white films and photos so when they put this in our cinema I had to go. And I have to say, this one of my most favourite films ever. It is thoughtful, lovely, nice, kind and magic but also understandable. Johny was excellent and Nobody... wow they guy made my day. This is one of the few films with a touchable athmosphere. heart
