Legolas flew through the air, having not been expecting such a fierce attack, and landed hard against the desk. He shook his head wearily, pushing himself back up on his hands and knees first as he attempted to regain his bearings.
"It..." Thranduil began, wincing in pain. "It is Legolas... but not, I... something... it is wrong... he is wrong."
Morfinnel on the other hand, his eye closed and hardly breathing as his blood stained Sario's hands and clothing, remained unconscious.

"Legede..." Sario whispered, staring at her blood stained hands. She started shaking him gently, but she could hear Thranduil.
It was Legolas, but not quite him. How...?
Then it clicked. Melkor. This had to be one of her foul tricks and technically she wasn't attack them.
Twisting her promise again.
The Maia's eyes widened, then narrowed. They flashed, as she turned them on Legolas. Anger radiated all over her features. She hated the evil Vala for what everything had come to. The woman was also angry at herself.
She caused this.
The prince was brainwashed while she just laid around resting. But then how did he come back?

Legolas' eyes flashed, "I have no quall with you, Maia." he spoke, bracing himself against the desk. "I am here only for the Elvenking, no others."

"This involves me, whether or not you want it to, Legolas," Sario spoke back, but she would not stop trying to wake up Morfinnel. "I am here to protect them. You attacked your friend and your father, does that not bother you?"

"It bothers me that this has taken as long as it has thus far!" Legolas replied, still holding the poker in his hand and pointing it toward Thranduil, who was positioned not but a couple feet away. "If it had not been for that infuriating rogue, I would have been done with my mission already. But no, he insisted that I see a Healer. Lucky for me, the Healers of this realm are either too dense or just highly unknowledgeable and they thought I was fine."

Sario's eyes widened on the poker.
Talli had gone to get Legolas? Did he know of the prince' change?
Her rage was fueled even more. It was up to her to stop this. Stop the attack, but she did not want to leave Morfinnel's side.
He wouldn't even wake up.
"Legolas...Why?"

Legolas smirked, "Because my master wishes for a token of my loyalty." he replied, his eyes sharp and menacing. "I meant not to draw you nor Morfinnel into this fight, but you medaled nevertheless. Now, you will either allow me to leave with my token, or I will not hesitate to injure you further."

Why did it have to come to this?
Sario's gaze hardened and finally, she pulled herself away from Morfinnel. For a moment she directed her eyes toward Thranduil. He was wounded too, but her eyes pleaded for some help.
She'd keep the blonde haired elf busy.
"And I don't want to hurt you," she raised up one of her hands, palm facing at him. "But it doesn't mean that I won't."

"So it is not enough that I have mortally wounded two your allies... I have to do the same to you?" Legolas asked, twirling the poker within his fingers. "I have faced magic before... or so I am told.." the prince took on a slightly confused look, "They told me I had fought against those more powerful than myself in years past." he looked back to Sario, "If I did it once, I can do it again."
Thranduil shook his head slightly to Sario. He knew he would be of no help, for even then he wavered on his feet.

"You fought against them, Legolas."
Sario kept her other hand limp at her side. She pushed down any weariness she still felt in her body, her arm straining to keep from shaking.
"Melkor and Nufeniel are our enemies. We defeated tehm once and we'll do it again. But please, caun nin, fight it. Fight what they have done to you. Look through the veil of lies that they have placed in your mind, because we are your friends. I will not hurt you if I don't have to. No one holds you responsible," her face softened as she spoke, pleading toward the archer. "Please."

"I will not listen to your lies, foul servant of Manwe!" Legolas hissed, pointing the poker directly at Thranduil's exposed throat. "Leave me now... or I will run him through before you can make a move against me."

Sario frowned, lowering her head slightly so that her gaze could pierce right into Legolas.
Suddenly, the poker the prince was holding flew out of his hand and right into her own. She held the metal tightly, making no other motion to advance on him.
"Why would I lie to you?"

"Because I know you shall. My memories tell me of your lies, Maia." Legolas stated with a smile. "I know what it is you seek, and I tell you now that you shall not have it. My master will complete her task, and I will do all in my power to assist her. Even if it means killing my own father and taking his head back as a token."

Sario took a step forward, this time clutching the poker in both of her hands. She held onto it tightly, knuckles turning white. How could she break through?
"Legolas! Please! Think of what you're doing. We are trying to save Middle-earth and Arda. What is so wrong with it? Your memories that you have now are a lie. Melkor's promise is a lie. You don't want to do this!"

The prince smirked, "She told me you wold say such things... that you would lie to me. I was a pawn! I was a pawn in your games! I shall stand for it no longer!!!"
Legolas sprung suddenly, but not at Sario. In one fluid movement he had drawn a knife from his boot and pinned Thranduil against the wall by the neck.
The Elvenking's hands flew to Legolas' own, trying to pry his son's iron grip from his throat.
"I will have his head..." the archer whispered firecely.
