Mass cultivation. Start advertising Tempest in the Guild Forums (more, if already). That way people who request to join we know are serious about getting in because they took the effort to find us on the Guild Forums. Thus we have active members and don't have to worry about keeping track of inactive users.
A second idea would be research. We're supposed to be up-and-going about the Battle System, so why has no one put down a link for Quixter's(and co's) Journal(s)? (Excuse me if I haven't stumbled across it yet). If we are to grow we need a lot of information that most people don't have, it'll help attract more people and thus activeness increases... again! It'll soon be exponention and we'll have more people than we can handle. For better... or worse.

good ideas ill try them eventually
(i also have a sneaking suspicion that since the guild leader and the mods, me included, don't make much a=of an effort to get the guild new members.)

Score one for Sragon! I can come up with ideas, but I couldn't find myself actually doing the work, however unless I had a really strong motivator. sweatdrop
