They don't have a yarn section, they just sell a few boxes at a time of whatever weird yarn they can get their hands on but it's usually just a dollar. Today I got some Phentex Fashion Thirteen and some Patons Brilliant and before I have gotten Lion Brand Incredible, Lorain, and Red Heart Kooky (that was two dollars). It's always in a box at the end of an aisle somewhere.

That's a stash?! Damnation, the woman could open a freaking store off of that one room alone. My one bookshelf of stash yarn is truly humbled in the presence of such magnificence.

I've only been knitting for about 2 months now, and I already used a nice chunk of my stash for my husbands scarf, but...
I have about 10 skeins, and while I've used a little bit of some of them here and there, for thinks like headbands and Nintendo DS cozy's, I really don't know what I'm doing with most of them other than "PRETTY!" Lol

I think I can say that I have the smallest here. I've been knitting for about 2 years but I hardly ever get out to buy yarn. I have at the moment two skeins. How said I know.

I think I'm at about 75 skeins. >< Not as many kinds as I would like, but some of it was donations from others who gave up on knitting, so I shan't complain.

I'm full of sugarplums...
I just went insane at Michaels....so here is my stash! I'm not home, so I don't quite remember what my old stash is...but I'll attempt to remember.
Old Stash 4 skeins of Lion Chenille - I thought I could knit with it. Boy was I wrong. 3 skeins of Lion Watercolors - supposed to use for afghan....too lazy. 1/2 skein of Moda Dea Lazy Daisy - crying almost gone. 2 skeins of this green Moda Dea yarn that I think is discontinued 1 skein of the above yarn in blue and orange 3? skeins of Moda Dea Ticker Tape - too stretchy, doesn't retain shape. Size 8 bamboo dpns Straight needles: 4?, 5, 7, 10, 11
Ring in 2008 with a New Stash! Boye Needlemaster (sizes 2-15 with attachable cables) Sewing Kit Row Counters 8 skeins Lion Brand Wool Cocoa 4 skeins Lion Brand Wool Pear 2 skeins Lion Brand Cotton-Ease Lake 2 skeins Lion Brand Cotton-Ease Snow 2 skeins Lion Brand Baby Soft Cream
The damage? Not telling!
For now, the new stash is in a big bag. So is the old stash.
...and stupid metaphors.

Wow. I have a very limited amount of yarn. Whenever I get a bit of money I buy whatever yarn I want though. I have about 12 skeins of yarn. That pales in comparison to the others, but it's a start! biggrin I have a pair of aluminum size 9 straight needles, 16" size 7 bamboo circular needles, 16" size 8 circular needles, and a new pair of size 10.9 bamboo needles. I can't wait to use the new bamboo! I've already picked out the yarn and pattern for a scarf I want to make.

Oh my..... Wow, that is an awe inspiring stash. I'm rather speechless. Mine is a pretty small stash although I haven't found all of it yet. I tried to gather all the boxes of yarn in one place when we unloaded the moving truck 6 months ago but I had men who don't play with yarn and a couple of 13 year olds just randomly dumping boxes in the house as we frantically tried to get the truck unloaded in a day. I'm still missing one box with yarn in it although I did find a box with some fingering weight yarn in it that I'd forgotten about. I'd really like to find the 5 or 6 matching skeins of Lion Boucle that I bought at the dollar store before we moved though.
