He liked the way that she looked at him, a sweet sort of light in her eyes, like she simply just enjoyed his presence. Despite her voluptuous appearance, the innocence written all over her face made it impossible for him to consider her a seductress any longer. And the way that she pulled the shawl tighter...was he making her nervous?
This thought filled him with pleasure and a wonderful sense of power.
"Push you?" He seemed more amused by this accusation than offended. "Now why would I do that?" To her next question he wanted to reply 'and how on earth would I know?' but from somewhere in his odd storage of random but helpful information came "Lythona. This," he gestured at the lake beside him, "Is the Calling Lake." He paused thoughtfully. "Don't ask me how I know that, because I couldn't possibly tell you."

"Lythona...I know that name." she uttered softly. "Calling Lake?" This was getting interesting. She went to ask him how he knew it only to have him answer before she asked.
"Don't ask me how I knw that, because I couldn't possibly tell you." Lura nodded, this was confusing. She looked over to the vast mountains that surrounded them. The bright sun started to set, and two blue moons rose behind her. She sighed...it was just beautiful. She leaned forward and looked at her reflection, she couldn't believe that the china doll that looked back at her, the perfect goddess, was her. She could have lived with more attire...but this...was just a wonder.
"I still, can't believe that this reflection looking back at me...is truely me. I'm just in complete awe."

He watched her study her reflection with such awe and merely shook his head as he climbed to his feet, resting both hand on his staff and leaning against it. Now that she was distracted looking at herself, he could enjoy getting a better look at her. She really was quite beautiful. And so far she was neither shallow nor evil. Of all the company he could have ended up with, she really wasn't a bad catch.
"You haven't happened to see anyone around here who might have at one point been an eleven-year-old, have you?" He asked, trying to sound as disinterested as possible. He doubted it. She'd seemed so surprised to see him. They both looked different. Alyssa could be anyone. Anything.
He shuddered despite himself as he considered all the possiblities. He had to find her.
So far this world seemed strange, but harmless...but who knew for sure?
Agaio sure didn't think this world was merry and full of sunshine. He had deep scars on his body from battles and a rough-and-tough attitude completely unfitting to this serene world.
The sun was setting...who knew what would happen when night fell?

Lura turned up to look at Agaio. "An eleven year old? No...I didn't think any one would be here. Why?" she asked softly. "Did one come with you?" She looked up at him, the last bit of sun disappearing into the valley behind the mountains. She smiled, a feeling of energy rush flooding through her. She looked mindlessly up at the two moons above her.
"Beautiful..." she suddenly felt such a high...she swayed slowly, a soft glow surounding her. Her mind was spinning.
What she didn't realize, was under the cover of her shall like cloak, her outfit was changing, and her hair turned to raven black. She became a completely differant person once the suns rays disappeared entirely. She opened her eyes. "That...was amazing..." she uttered softly, talking about the feeling.

Agaio looked away from her gaze, unwilling to elaborate further. He didn't trust her completely. What if she used his sister against him? He still hadn't ruled out that she could be an enemy. His trust was hard to win. That was why he was still alive.
His refusal to speak wasn't awkward, simply because Lura became fascinated by the setting sun. He looked up when she spoke again, in time to see her sway. Impulsively, he reached out, afraid that she was going to faint. He wrapped strong arms around her for but a moment, and openly gawked as she changed. Her hair darkened. She changed completely right there in his arms. He released her in surprise and stepped away, now sweeping his gaze over her once more to re-assess. He swore reverently under his breath. A shapeshifter? A spellcaster? He couldn't even place what she might be.
One thing he knew for sure; she'd just gotten even hotter.
He was SP glad he didn't blush easily.

Lura wasn't so moved by Agaio's reaction toward herself, she suddenly didn't care. She stood, the cloth that clung to her shoulders hung nicely over her newly dressed body. She knew exactly who and what she was now, it was as if her prier self was nothing but a memory. Tia...never existed. Lura was all that was left.
She looked down at her reflection, admiring herself in a new light. "So this is my other half." she said in almost vain wonder. She knew the spells, she knew the power she held inside her. She held out her hand, and a bright bulb of light formed in her hand. "Lunar magic...it only works under the moons light. But it is rather usefull..." she tossed it over the lake, the bulb floated over to the center of the lake, hovered over the water. "An eleven year old yousaid?" she asked softly, confidently, completely unlike the timid, nieve, worried girl that was before Agaio just before sun set. The bulb fell into the water, and the whole lake glowed and instantly sparks of bright star like lightlings flew from the waters.
"Search for his missing child!" she called out. Each spark flew out and about and searched through the tall grasses. Each spark, its own little firefly. She turned to Agaio, a soft smile on her pretty face. "They would not harm the child, I swear on my life. They will find the child and create a bright tower of light where they found the child. We will find him or her faster that way." she said. She took the cloth around her shoulders and draped it over her arms around her back.

Agaio's mind was reeling. Even her personality had just pulled a 180. He watched her with an admiring - but otherwise disinterested - expression. Where had all this confidence come from?
Ah well. They were in Lythona now, not on a college campus. He had to be prepared for everything.
But his pride was wounded that this strange woman was doing a better job os searching for Alyssa than he was. Her magic was impressive. But so was his. And he could use his magic at all times. So there.
He still didn't feel much better. And why the heck was he so nervous? He had a fetish for shoulders, he decided simply. And her shoulders were very nice.
He tore his gaze from her before she could catch him eyeing her.
"That's wonderful." He said. "But what are we going to do until then? This is hardly a safe place to play sit and wait."

Lura smiled softly, he was to cute. She closed her eyes, trying to figure the amount of living things that were indeed in this plain with them. "This place," she said as she reopened her eyes, "In this place, we are the only ones here...i sense the child, and my sprites, but nothing else. But there is alot of activity beyond those mountains. Its as if nothing on the other side can make it over here...We are safest here at the moment."
She shivered from the wind that blew from the mountains in the south. It seemed to be a winter storm over there, but what confused her was that just to the east a summer breeze blew her way. "This place is so confuseing." Lura said, sounding like Tia for a slight moment, then quickly returned to Lura. "But like wise, we are safest here. These grasses are un inhabited."
She turned to the lake, dipping her foot into the mirror like surface. It glowed at her touch, and her foot didn't sink far. She smiled amused. She took a few more steps and walked upon the water, she was testing herself...remembering the spells, testing the charms, her power. She held her arms before her as if waiting for a crystal ball to appear, but the water before her morphed and lifted into her hands. It was like mercury at her touch. She was having so much fun with this. She juggled with the jelled like water, morphing it into many characters, turing it to ice and then shattering it.
"I seem to controle water..." she muttered to herself. "Interesting." and she looked to her hand, thinking the spells she wished to cast and having her fingers glowing. "I like this alot, its much better then hiding."

Her smile was to die for. Agaio swallowed, turning away. Part of him was dying to know what she looked like beneath that shawl, and that thought rather horrified him, and yet amused him at the same time.
Having gotten control of his emotions, Agaio watched with constrained interest as she performed her little trick with the water. When she said she 'seemed to control water', he scoffed. Seemed?
He had better things to worry about than the odd little enchantress he'd run into. He turned and walked a distance away from the lake. Placing his staff firmly in the ground before him, he murmurred softly under his breath, thinking of Alyssa.
Nothing happened. He sighed in frustration. He'd already tried his tracking spell so many times looking for her. He had already concluded that she, too had a different form in this world. And, unfortunately, a different essence. He scowled. He had to keep trying.
He busied himself drawing a pentagram in the dirt, half of his mind concentrated on drawing, the other concentrating on his sister, hoping that maybe she'd respond to his call to her.

((May one of Lura's moonlight sprites find Agaio sister?))
Lura was interupted by one of her sprites pulsing a loud high pitched hum. Lura turned to the sound, watching as the rest of the sprites flew toward the sound, causing a pillar of light. Lura stepped down from her fountain pedistal and landed on shore, only Agaio wasn't there. She looked around briefly, only to turn to the noise again and start for the pillar of light.
"Did they find the child?" she wondered. They could be mistaken she remembered, they could have found another living thing, but it could be an animal or another visitor from that lab she was in before. "It could be the person who pushed me..." She pushed her way through the grass, calling out to Agaio. "Agaio they found something!"

(( I'd like it to be a bit more of a fight to find her. Otherwise there wouldn't be any reason for Agaio to be there. Once he found his sister, he'd high-tail it out of there. Her missing gives his character a purpose. ))
The sudden pulse of magic from Lura's sprites threw Agaio off, and then the sound of her voice finally startled him out of his trance. He was rather grumpy, as he always was when he didn't get his way or a great deal of effort gave him no reward.
He frowned, stepping out of the pentagram and scuffing it with his foot so that it could be used by no one else. Being ripped from the spell had given him a headache.
He emerged from the trees, carrying his staff and looking irritable. "What is it?" he asked gruffly.

((Ok no problem ^_^, here's my short yet quick come back!!!))
Lura looked down to where the sprites pin-pointed the object. It was a small trinket...looking like a hair accessory. Lura picked it up, slightly disappointed. "Did this belong to the child? I'm guessing if this is a hair accessory...the child is a girl then."

For some reason, Agaio found Lura’s disappointment a relief. He felt horrified with himself immediately. No, no. It wasn’t because he didn’t want to find Alyssa. No, not at all. Maybe it was just because he didn’t want her to be able to do something he couldn’t, and so quickly. Yes, that made sense. Agaio had always been competitive. It would have killed his pride to have been outperformed by this complete stranger whom he barely trusted.
Having reasoned out the relief, he took the hairpiece from Lura’s hand and looked closely at it. It didn’t look like anything Alyssa owned, yet it screamed that it was hers. It was one of those hairpins that didn’t do anything but hold back about three hairs from falling in one’s face, and only if strategically placed, more of a hair decoration than anything useful. It was just the kind of thing that Alyssa might like to wear. He frowned thoughtfully at it. His neutral expression seemed to be a thoughtful frown.
“Yes, its hers, all right.” Agaio rumbled in his deep, bass voice. He closed his fingers over it as though expecting Lura to try and snatch it from him. “It might help me find her.”

Lura watched as he inspected the clip, and a small smirk fell on her face as he held it tight.
“Yes, its hers, all right. It might help me find her.” he said. Lura nodded, then looked to her sprites. They were flying about in a slight panic, as if...as if there was nothing left to find.
"My sprites seem to tell me that nothing is here. We're all alone here. She must have wandered off to another side of those mountains." she said, she felt the warm breeze coming from the western mountains, as if it were summer on the other side. Lura turned in curiosity, noting the top of the four hightest peaks. The one to the north had large snow caps, thick white clouds surounding them, the western mountains seemed bright and green, the eastern mountains seemed to have constand dark rain clouds covering the peaks, while in the south...there was a constant breeze. "Its as if each part of the island had a differant season...and they are all going on at the same time." she spoke aloud. She looked to Agaio.
"Should we go look for her on the other side? If so where should we start?" as she spoke she held out her left hand, a bulb of light quickly forming, and all the little sprites flew into the light, small squeeks from each one, till the very last entered and the bulbed seamed to pop back into her hand. "Well?"

Agaio's pride had flared back up, and with it his survival skills. Never trust anyone, was one of his first laws. Never let anyone know you have a weakness, was another. He had done both with this strange (and gorgeous!) woman. He had trusted her, and now she likely suspected that he had a weakness, this eleven year old girl.
That wouldn't do.
He could only hope that she thought he was a bounty hunter, hired help, something like that. She'd never guess that he had any sort of connection with her anyway. He was a lone wolf. That was blatently obvious.
"We?" He asked stiffly, and then struck out at her. One hit and she'd be unconcious. He'd simply knock her out and get the heck out of there before she had a chance to turn on him. Self preservation. Trust no one.
(( Agaio has trust issues. XD I left it up to you to decide if he actually does manage to knock her out or if she manages to counter his attack somehow. ))
