Suni moon Oingo Hmmm, now that I think about it, Tim Burton wouldn't be a bad director for a Hellsing movie. Think of the swirls! Tim Burton loves using swirls in his movies, and Rip and Blood!Seras and Alutard all have swirls... <3 I know! That's exactly what I was thinking when I mentioned him...shadows and swirls! >.< Tim also likes splattering blood all over everything when he gets the chance. 3nodding And, and, and...maybe then Danny Elfman would do the musical score! That would be...amazing... whee D8 Oh my gosh~ Danny Elfman +Hellsing mUsic = SUPER BLODDY EPIC WIN!!!! Danny Elfman heart heart heart heart

Though, when it comes to pairing actors with cartoon characters, I don't really have the best opinion to listen to because I know of so few.
Still, I couldn't agree more with Michigami:michigami sadly, will never happen. mostly 'cause hellsing is better off as an anime and never live-action. the actors would be impossible to cast

Sorry. Ew. I've never liked that woman as an actress...ever. [She ruined The Avengers even more she was cast as Peel.] Cate has the deeper and stronger aura about her that simply parts crowds when she enters a room. She seems so much stronger and mysterious.

...Buuuuut...... I'll still have to say Cate Blanchet for Integra. sweatdrop

Yessss. Hellsing + Danny Elfman....ohhhh. heart heart heart >.<
You know what, he should be doing the score for the OVAs!! xd Honestly, I hate the music in the OVAs...'cept the end credit stuff...

Suni moon Oingo This topic seems to come up a lot. XD We were talking about it on my Hellsing Otakon 2008 board recently too. http://onewhospinsflags.deviantart.com/art/Casting-for-Alucard-11160611 I actually have that in my favorites. xD You know, I noticed her little note about those other casting theories...so now I'll bring up... Christian Bale. I never thought about him because to me he just doesn't look like an Alucard type... but today I relized... Oh crap! He could pull off a strong and awesome Alucard voice!! I love Christians creepy angry voice. It'd be perfect for Alucard. >.< Aaand...I also suddenly relized the diversity with his roles. *cough* Holy Anorexia, did you see The Machinist? O.O *cough* two words on that subject: Velvet Goldmine. christian bale and ewan magregor having wild 70's glamrock and glitter gay buttsex on a london rooftop. 3nodding i laughed at the idea of him as batman after seeing VG. once you've seen an actor losing his leather pants and getting bonked on a rooftop by obi-wan, you really can't look at them the same ever again. *edit* oh, and before anyone thinks it, NO i did NOT know there was a wild gay sex scene in the movie before watching it, and no, i'm not a perv, i just went to art school and had roomates who would watch *coughs* um, "interesting" movies sometimes and not warn people what was in them until AFTER the questionable scenes. it's not like you can UNwatch things, ya know. xp

Ace of Death Another one of these threads, huh? rolleyes Why let a good subject die young? xD Okay...well...the good subject died years ago...okay, well, for better wording...why ignore a chance to beat a dead horse of a subject. sweatdrop Anyway, I don't see why repeat threads are such a problem, especially if its something fun to talk about.

Stuart Townsend, Adrien Brody, although his nose is huge, he does look the part, they would be a good Alucard. They both seem very young though...maybe Dylan Moran as Alucard if he was younger, and slimmer, and taller... I think that they might have to pull a Dar Vader on Alucard. Someone playing his part and someone speaking the part. Crispin Freeman didn't do a bad job! If onlyNakata spoke English!!
You know what damn them all, bring back Bella Lugosi and Gary Oldman as Alucard!
The perfect Seras would be played by Suzuka Ohgo!
Bill Murray, Anthony Hopkinsack , Sean Connery would be a great Waters.
Maybe a Jack Nicholson as the major?
Lucy Liu or Li Gong as Rip!

As much as I adore Adrien Brody...I just can't see him having enough of "it" to play Alucard. He just seems too soft and submissive to give us a really good Alucard.
I would love to see Crispin Glover play something. I don't care what. Maybe even Doc.
Perhaps Doug Jones for Walter? He certainly has the body...
Oh yeah, and Thomas Kretschmann for Captain....Because we can't type cast that poor man enough.

How about Hugh Jackman as Alucard? Based on this picture and his butchness I can see him pulling it off. Although there is a hight issue, and he also played Hellsing....

Haha, Tim Burton...the funny thing is, when the film adaption of Sweeney Todd was still the buzz around town and I went to see the film, I kept on picturing Depp as Alucard. xD well not excactly Alucard, but Vlad!Alucard. uggh...and then re-watching POTC...mustache...Depp has that Vlad mustache look...he he he...
come to think of it, actually Alucard can make a good Sweeney. XD I can imagine the whole Hellsing cast singing, "The Ballad of Sweeney Todd" (cut from the movie unfortunately)...lol xD
