noticing raised voices form the bar ,kal turned to see what the fuss was all about. noticing that a starfllet officer and a civilain seemed to be about to get into a fight,he finished his drink and slowly made his way over to the area so that if anything started he was close enougth to stop it quickly. however as he got closer he notices that the officer held the rank off captain and held back a bit as didnt wish the anger a superiour officer

Ryan took a deep breath, she had a bad habit of absorbing the emotions around her. And with multiple people, it left her with an adrenaline rush with a large irritation for people around her. Once she had sufficently rested her emotions to a stable level, Ryan was never the one to throw the first punch, and she didn't want her starfleer lisence revoked, she took a small sip of the drink. "These are the rules I allow in my life, so in a sense, I am free. More free than you if you look at in that context." Ryan pointed out, studying the man before her. Klingon traits were dominate in his face, it was hard to tell if he was pureblood or not with the fact that the Klingon genes were dominate compared to the other recessive species.

Noticing a change in the woman next to him Torben turns back saying "I wouldn't say you're more free then me, but if you are content with doing what another person tells you than go right ahead and I wish you the best" he pauses for a drink "but I for one cannot stand being ordered around"

see that the captain had calmed her self down again, kalinin began to relax and toke seat at the bar again. however this time he only orded a mineral water so that he kept his head clear. having been in a couple of bar fights in his time he know that even if one person backes down that may not be enougth and it was best if at least he could keep a calm and relaxed presence in the area. also by siting near the starfleet officer it gave a clear indication that he would get invovled fairly quickly if the situation turned south and it wouldnt be on the civilions side

' freedom isnt about being part off an organisation it part of the soul. if u do what u want and can live as u wish to be that is a true freedom . it not weither or not u are alone or part off an organisation. we are all free at the moment of birth its what restraints we put on our selves that we must fight'
realising he had just began talking out loud , kal blushed and orders a stonger drink

Glancing and throwing a quick, and friendly, smile at a fellow Starfleet officer who was clutching to a mineral water, Ryan turned her attention back to the rouge captain. "It isn't as terrible as people seem to think it is, following rules and such." Ryan said softly, but loud enough to hear. "You have a lot more security than being out there, on the frontier, without an ally, not even another ship you can hail. Easily rendered defenceless, not my prefrence." Ryan shrugged, asking the waitress for a glass of ice water.

"That theory works as well, officer." Ryan agreed. "I suppose freedom is a matter of oppinion, in the end." She shrugged again.

"I can survive on my own anyday. It's how I made it this far, how I've endured. Just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I can't take care of myself." Ryan spoke in a defensive tone, sparks of rage emerging once again. "Parinoid a little? Is it bad to be courteous to your fellow officers? I don't need him in a fight, I could take you one on one." Ryan said impulsivly. Ryan ran her fingers through copper streaks of her jaw length hair before speaking again, taking a moment to breath just incase he did want to fight her. Ryan wasn't an idiot, even half kingons were dangerous.

"I am a starfleet officer. And I'm more than sure that I have always had the courage to get through Starfleet, and didn't wimpishly back down from a chance to be something because I was afraid of a little command now and then." Ryan shot back.

'we live in a universe of infinite wonder , with huge amount of life. i for one cant believe that the only reason for this is so that we can only rely on yourself. that you can not live ,undertand or help others,even if they dont ask for it. yes u are right in some respectes i grant u that but if u would rather die then accept help form others surly that is but a show of slavery to your own weaknesses.
is it not honourable and just to help and defend your comrades if they need it . '
kal pushes away glass and very calmly turns to face the civilion ,keeping his hands in his laps and keeping a calm voice.
' i will not fight to inflict injury but neither could i stay and whatch another be hurt. that is my path of freedom that i have chosen .
