strangerthanfiction Terra of the Lilies strangerthanfiction ANYTHING by either Tamora Pierce or Scott Westerfeld Westerfeld examples are The Uglies, The Pretties, The Specials, The Extras So Yesterday, Peeps, The Last Days, The Midnighters(all three of them) Peeps is a scientific approach to vampires. Explains vampirism as a disease and of people immune to the disease such as the main character who is now trying to cure and treat people he formerly passed this desease on to. The Uglies series is a futuristic based story about a young girl. When children reach a certain age they are reconstructed physically to be pretty. They become symetrical and vulnerable looking. When our main character finds out they aren't only changing physical features she runs from the city and its ignorant people. Pierce exemples: The Circle of Magic series ummm...she's got a ton and they're all about magic and are really great, Oh, I've heard about Uglies. 3nodding I really wanna read it (my friend owns it), but I'm in a looong line of people to read it. It happened with the Twilight series, too. xd
It's super duper awesome! Altough hard to find, I need to read that last one "The extras"... Oh, I saw that in Barnes & Noble awhile ago, and my friend's reading it. 3nodding

You're something beautiful...
One Day In The Life of Ivan Denisovich.
and
All Quiet On The Western Front.
They're both great books, but I prefer the former. All Quiet kind of bored me. Actually, I didn't like it very much until I was in the process of writing an essay on it.
A contradiction...

THE DARK TOWER SERIES BY STEPHEN KING!!!!!!! scream blaugh
I myself hate Stephen King's creepy/weird books but this series is AMAZING!!!! It is in no way way creepy or weird. It more of an adventure than anything. The cool part is, its basically about a cowboy from a differnt world that travels across differnt demensions of earth to save the universe. (btw, thats a horrible summery. look for a better on yourself, i wanna go read more) Another cool part is that he bring elements from alot of his differnt books, like references that are actually part of the story.

Books:
The Giver, by Lois Lowry The Color Purple, by Alice Walker My Year of Meats, by Ruth Ozeki
Authors:
Madeleine L'Engle... my favourite author probably EVER Judith Butler Michel Foucault heart
Other:
Welfare Reform and Sexual Regulation, Anna Marie Smith ninja Okay, maybe I wouldn't *recommend* it, per se, but it's pretty good for the purposes that I'm reading it for. xd

Any book by Lois Lowery. They're all amazing. There's a new-ish one called Gossamer, and I really liked it.
