"I'm prepared." He fidgeted slightly. He was ready to LEAVE...

Raign floated along the path that lead to Etruria. As he cleared a large wooded area, he came upon a slender man with long blonde hair, and a large, tough looking warrior with silvery hair and bronze skin, "... Hello... And do I have the honor of your acquaintences?..." He folded his wings around him so they looked almost like a feathery cloak and came down to the ground.

Jian was slightly startled by the sudden appearance of another person. Checking that the person wasn't one of Emingard's lackey's, he responded formally, "My name is Jian and this is...my friend Falcon." That was good enough for now, he didn't want to reveal his identity to this person whom was probably as foreigner (sp?) and then added, "We're about to leave on a trip so..." Jian had his bag of posessions and supplies slung over his shoulders to distribute the weight over his frail body and even looked ready to leave.

Falcon's eyes searched the man over several times. He had no need to speak, seeing as he had already been introduced by Jian. His eyes had seemed temorarily dull, but they sharpened at the site of the new fellow.

"Very good. I am Raign. I hail from the Nabata Desert. Pleasure making your acquaintances. Where are you headed? ... Perhaps I could accompany you part of the way?"

Jian looked around the street making sure that no one was nearby to hear them. "Uh, are you familiar with Emingard, the bishop whom has control over Etruria?"

Falcon was getting annoyed, seeing as he still had no reason to speak, and now that the conversation was actually getting somewhere, he didn't want to interrupt the Lord's words.

"Emingard? ... I'm sorry, I don't know of this Emingard... The last time I was in Etruria was around seven-hundred-and-fifty years ago... I'm not that up-to-date with my Elibe history..." He was followed by an answer of complete silence, "What? Is 750 years such a long time?" ((xD))
Suddenly, a group of soldiers came running around a bend in the path. One shouted, "There he is! Jian!" The small group charged at the three adventurers. Before either Jian or Falcon could act, Raign flew in front of them. His wings shut around him and a massive hulking form of a dragon emerged. A massive cone of fire blasted forth from its mouth, incinerating the soldiers.

Falcon arched a brow. Was this guy for real? 750 years? He... DID have wings, though. He stared in partial disbelief as he suddenly transformed into a dragon and spit fire at the enemy soldiers. He still looked alert, but his mouth hung open only slight.

The dragon swiftly transformed back into Raign, "Sorry about that, now what were we talking about?"

Falcon, noticing that his mouth was left aghast, shut it quickly and tightly. He cleared his throat in apolagy. It was the first time he had spoken for the last few minutes, so his handsome voice rang out clear as a bell when he said, "Emingard, I believe."

"Ah, yes... This Emingard chap. Why are you two so concerned with the dealings of this bishop? Is there anything I can do to help? I, myself, am headed into eastern Etruria. I've heard the best silversmith in all Elibe lived there, and I've wanted to meet him. It's taken me a couple of years, but I think I've finally located him. Falcon was your name? Pleasure finally making your acquaintance properly." Raign extended a hand and shook Falcon's considerably larger one. "You have the smell of the sands about you... Where are you from?"

Falcon nodded at Raign after shaking his hand. "I hail from the Nabata Desert as well," he replied casually, although it sounded as if he had a great amount of dignity in those two words(Nabata Desert). He cleared his throat slightly. It was... unlikely for Falcon to be so conversational. "So. You're from the Nabata? I've... never seen you before. A pleasure meeting your acquaintance."

"Ah, that is probably because you've never been to Ar... Can you keep a secret?" Raign suddenly asked, "I'm from a hidden metropolis of Dragons in Nabata, called Arcadia. Have you ever seen a bright shining light in the desert? That's the lighthouse of Arcadia. It's the only safe haven for we Mamkutes after the Scouring... I am fortunate not to be hunted. Mamkute hide is legendary, and sells at ridiculously high prices. I can defend myself, but if my Dragonstone was ever stolen... I would be powerless. Mamkutes have sworn never to use anything to defend themselves except thier Dragonstones. Without a Dragonstone, Mamkutes would just be humans with wings. But enough about me. What are your stories, sirs?" He folded his wings around himself again and sat on a tree stump, waiting to hear the stories of his new companions.

Falcon nodded. He had indeed seen a bright light in the desert before, when he was living alone. "Your secret is safe." He seemed to be more friendly with Raign, now that he knew they came from relatively the same place. "As a child, I'm not sure who my parents were. I was raised by a... rather strange pair of people, whom had very strange customs and an even stranger religeon. I ran away at an early age and lived alone in the Nabata. I just recently came from there to where we are now and bumped into Jian."
