As Kaimi entered the area, she would almost instantly physically feel the pressure in the area, and a slight sense of hunger would develop in her stomach. The reiatsu pouring off of the Trainee spread wildly, uncontrolled, surrounding the area in an unstable pressure field. One might determine that this was the reason for being alone with his Sensei. His eyes snapped open, having been basically rejected by his Zanpakuto Spirit for the first time of talking to her. He slowly opened his eyes after a few seconds in silence, raising an eyebrow to Soen. "......She...She just......?" He said, stammering more in questioning to himself and to his Zanpakuto, than to his Sensei. He didn't know what had gone wrong, and was clueless-ly and desperately reaching out for an answer.

Kaimi watched the student before feeling her stomach give out a growl. Her ears swivled forward as she peered to her stomach. She looked back up to the student once more before pulling a bag from her sleeve. She kept her eyes to him as she pulled a small rice ball from the bag, and popped it into her mouth.
She ate a few more before hiding her bag back into her sleeve. They were special sticky rice, known for expanding once in the stomach. She never thought she'd have to eat as many as she did in one time. She felt a little bloated, but it would take a bit for his reiatsu to begin affecting her again.
She slipped down from the walkway, and took a few steps towards the two, "Sir, please tell me you could teach me. Ive been kicked out of various other classes, and no others wish to teach me."

As Sanozuke went into his Zanpakuto meditation Soen too slipped into his inner world. Once there the spirit of his Zanpakuto appeared before him, or at least he appeared as well as he could. Tamakusari Kokuken was not exactly one to materialize into full form unless actually necessary. On a normal day he would simply manifest himself in the form of a black vapor-like shadow in the shape of a man that had piercing blue eyes and a white mouth. "Training another one, eh?" Asked the spirit in a bit of a dark and mysterious voice.
"Yeah..." Soen replied, "This one is strong. He's got immense potential but it will take a lot of time and patience to get him there."
"It'll happen. Remember that teaching others can teach us of ourselves. Consider this part of your Bankai training. I know we've been at it for nearly fifty years now, but you have to be fully balanced and able for this particular power. Remember that..." The spirit grinned and blinked a few times before disappearing.
Soen slowly opened his eyes to witness the goat girl as she walked into the training area. He didn't get up or even move to greet her, but rather continued to sit there to wait for Sanozuke to wake up. When he did he looked somewhat baffled. This was rather common among those who had never seen or heard their Spirit's voice before.
"She blew you off, didn't she?" He asked. "Spirits are finicky beings when you first get to know them. They get so frustrated that they can't be heard or seen that it takes a while to really get them to know and trust you. I barely even knew mine well enough for Shikai until approximately 600 years ago, and I'm still working on the details for Bankai, but that's only because I wish to take my time with it. There really is no rush for getting to really know your Zanpakuto inside and out."
Once the point he wanted to make had been made he finally turned his attention to Kaimi. He had never seen a goat spirit before, but after seeing Komamura-taichou he really wasn't surprised by it. This girl, though goat in appearance, was clearly intelligent enough and willing enough to become a shinigami. That was all it took for Soen to accept someone into his class. A thought popped into his head, however, and he was curious to know how she was able to stand being near Sanozuke. Perhaps it was something wierd with her particular breed, but he wasn't about to question it. "I'll accept you as a student... But know that I am supposed to be his teacher specifically. If you complicate things in terms of the teaching process then I may have to send you elsewhere. Also know that my training will not be easy..."

Kaimi nodded, understanding the difference another student could make. She brougth her hand up, moving her bangs some, "I've been sent all over this place, and been taught a few good things. I figured out my Zanpakuto's name and one attack already. It's not the strongest, but Otomemizu and I are still getting used to one another." She looked over to Sanozuke for a moment before bowing to her new sensei.
She moved off to the side some, making sure not to get to close to the other student, and sat upon the grass, pulling her Zanpakuto from her waist and placing it next to her. She rested her hands to her lap, "My name is Kaimi, but I'd rather be called Kai." She bowed once more, then sat straight.

He glanced over to Kaimi as she sat down. Never before had any other trainee bothered to be in his presence for a few minutes, let alone not feel bothered by him enough to simply want him to go away. He smiled lightly, looking over to her and nodding once. "Pleased to meet you Kai, I'm Iosuke Sanozuke, or..San-San, as Soen-Sensei calls me." He nods again in a small bow, before turning back to Soen, glancing down to his Zanpakuto, and then looking to Soen again. "...Soen-Sensei...Why can't I hear her? I mean...I heard her speak something...about me finally getting there...or finally opening my eyes or something, but that was it. I couldn't hear anything else she tried to tell me. ...I mean...I saw her clearly, but that was about it."
He glanced back down to his Zanpakuto, eying it carefully, looking up and down the blade. A slight frown came over his face as the question ran through his mind, waiting to be answered.

"Well then it will be good to have you, Kai-san, you can call me Soen-sensei," Soen said to the new student. "Since you are farther along than San-san here I will most likely give you smaller tasks while I work more with him until he is more up to speed with you. Then once that has been accomplished I will teach you both equally. For now, I would like you to speak with your Zanpakuto some more. As I was explaining to him earlier you can never spend too much time speaking with your sword's spirit. It is the key to your strength so the more you speak the better you will become."
As he finished speaking Soen turned back to Sanozuke. His question and frustration were understandable as it was something every shinigami has to go through. "You actually got to see her?" He asked with a bit of surprise, "Most of the time from my experience students can only hear the voice of their spirit at first, then when they first get to see them they can no longer hear them. After a while the two become one and they can both see and hear. Since you were able to hear her briefly while seeing her it seems that you have leapfrogged over the first step and gone straight to step two!"
Soen paused for a moment to let this sink in, then began again. "You can't hear her voice because you lack mental and spiritual discipline. Your training, what we were doing before with your sword, will help with that. Learning to focus your mind as well as your spiritual energy will allow you to understand your Zanpakuto better as time goes on. Just remember that you won't just become a strong shinigami over night. It takes years of practice to truly understand yourself and your Zanpakuto's spirit. Also know that your Zanpakuto's spirit knows you far better than you know it. It has been with you ever since you became a soul. It has known you before you even knew yourself, so knowing yourself is also a key to knowing it. Remember that and you will go far."

"Hai, Soen-Sensei." He lowered his Zanpakuto, sheath and all, and let it rest horizontally across his lap. As he waited for Soen-Sensei to instruct him through whatever practice he had in store for him next, Iosuke concentrated on what he had just been told.
Skipped Past Step One and Gone to Step Two? How? How would I even attempt to go about that? I mean...I don't even know what I just did. All I did was try to visualize...but... Strange then. Very Strange...
He tilted his head to his Zanpakuto, watching it now in curiosity. Spiritual and Mental discipline. Two things he lacked incredibly, it would be near impossible for him to hear his Zanpakuto at this rate then. He didn't know the extent of his abilities, or even have any real control over his Reiatsu, much less his discipline with his blade. He had failed at even the simplest task, all he had to do was stop the blade before it hit. Three inches might not have seemed a lot to most Shinigami, but to him, ugh, it was almost like he had just failed a mission...Provided he got missions, anyway.

Kaimi nodded, and unsheather her blade, holding the sheath close to her lap with the blade perfectly centered. She glanced between the two before lowering her head some, closing her eyes. She's done this many times, just to kill some time between meals and trying to get into a new class.
Within her mental eye she saw a ball swirl into the air, and unswirl to see a blue haired-woman with elegant robes that flowed like water. The woman peered down to Kai in annoyance, Again? Who kicked you out this time?
Kai looked up to the woman, "No one, Soen-sensei told me to speak with you. The stronger our communication, the stronger we are in battles together."
The woman glared down to the goat, I know, I've been trying to tell you that. You aren't focused enough mentally, your physical strengths help with keeping your body focused perfectly. In anycase, what does this Soen sensei look like?
Kai gave a gentle laugh, which pulled her back to the world around her, a smile on her face as she lowered the blade with a now blue hilt.

"Okay," Soen said with a bit of a grin, "Now we're going to try something a little different. First I tested you physically, then mentally, now I'm going to test your spiritually." As he spoke the teacher stood up and took a few steps back. "Kaimi-san, I suggest that you move over there." He pointed to a place that was somewhat far away. He wasn't casting her out, but rather trying to help her through what was to come next.
"San-san, I want you to try and raise your Reiatsu as high as you can. Can you do that? I know that you can't really lower it right now, so we'll work in the opposite direction first. If you don't know how just picture yourself growing in size. Get angry! Yell if you have to. If that doesn't work then I may have to take more drastic measures."

Iosuke cocked an eyebrow, watching Soen carefully. He looked down to his body and then back to Soen. He wasn't entirely sure what he wanted him to do. He closed his eyes, focusing on visualizing himself growing, both in size and power. What had happened on the outside, however, was only a short burst of energy, exploding for only maybe a moment from his body, but even that burst was not possibly his maximum Reiatsu output, nor would it be suitable for anything long term. He sighed, opening his eyes, shaking his head. "..I'm..Not sure what you want me to do Soen-Sensei..." Such a short, yet potent explosion of Reiatsu would create another immediate feeling of gnawing hunger in Kaimi, most likely, and she may end up bewildered as, on the outside, the explosion takes the form of a slightly visible aura of Green Reiatsu on Iosuke's body, but still nowhere near his maximum potential at the current time.

Kaimi looked up to Soen-sensei, "Hai." She quickly sheathed her Zanpakuto and got up. She quickly walked over to the spot he pointed at and watched the two. She gave a small gasp, watching San-san, only to get knocked back by both his Reiatsu and a sudden hunger.
She landed in a buch as her stomach gave out a low growl for food. She slipped out of the bush and pulled out her bag from her sleeve and looked towards the two. She quickly popped a couple rice balls to her mouth, watching the two as if it were a show. If she went any closer, she wouldn't have any evergy to even eat.

"It's kind of hard to explain how to do such a thing as raising your spiritual pressure level for the first time. See right now your Reiatsu is always on, so turning it off or making it increase doesn't seem possible, but once you feel how to do so it becomes much easier. Watch me." Soen stepped back and took a generic fighting stance. As he stood there he took a deep breath then quickly let it out. As he did so his Reiatsu quickly began to rise up from what seemed like nothing. The pressure of his spiritual presence began to push and loose dust and leaves away from him and a dark purple aura appeared around him. He took in another breath as it continued to go up and as he let it out this time he gave a yell that originated deep in the bowls of his lungs. The tone of his voice was much deeper than usual, more like a growl than anything, and as it continued on it morphed more from a yell to a deep throated scream. His pressure sky rocketed, growing around him visually. He held it there and took a step forward.
"Do you see? Do you feel it? Feel your own reiatsu? See I catch you as being the kind of person who acts on instinct rather than being able to be told what to do. So as I come closer I can feel you increas in power just as a reaction to my currently stronger presence. Try to bring it up on your own. If that doesn't work, try to lower it back down. Just think about it. I know that you can feel it within you." He took another step forward. Most students would pass out from him coming so close with this much power being displayed, but he knew that someone like Sanozuke would answer back just out of reflex with a raising of their own power. If it didn't work, Soen would have to take it to the next level.

He took a step back in kind as the overwhelming Reiatsu took hold. In response, however, his body automatically shot forth in a burst of Green Reiatsu. Even still, he felt the pressure of Soen's Reiatsu weighing down on him, and as he felt his own Reiatsu rise, he pushed that feeling to its limit, his Reiatsu continuing to climb, yet still not at its peak as he slowly became surrounded in Green Reiatsu. He stopped backing forwards, staring at Soen now, and his current goal was to push his Reiatsu farther than his Sensei's. His Reiatsu continued to skyrocket, unknowingly risking the health of Kai, who was only possibly a few yards away. Using the current growing sensation inside of him he stayed silent, his Reiatsu climbing until it reach perhaps three quarters of his maximum, easily reaching the level that even a Seated Shinigami could reach, and yet, he still had more to give, but he just couldn't access it, his body refused to let him it seemed.

Kaimi stopped, and froze, feeling no effect from the food now. She slowly fell to the side, trying to chew down the rice ball she had in her mouth. She carefully sat up, and crawled into the bushes, getting through to another garden. She relaxed against the bush and looked around, seeing a secondary garden which was empty.
She gave out a small sigh, and ate a couple more of the rice balls. She looked into the bag, seeing only one left. She peered through the bush, watching the two.

"More!" Soen yelled. He could handle Sanozuke's reiatsu as it flared up. He too raised his own as the effect was just as he thought it would be. Even though his technique was working, Soen knew that if he tried the next method that it would have positive reults. "Prepare yourself!" He yelled as he disappeared in shunpo. He appeared behind Sanozuke and thrust a fist into his back. The physical pain plus the strong reiatsu right behind him would surely cause him to raise his up even higher than before.
"Show me everything you have. I'll beat it out of you if I have to San-san! Give it all you've got. Don't hold back in the least. Lose control!"
