I'll give him his due for being an impressive leader and teacher, vut you have to admit that the jews called jesus the same thing that the christians called Anton La Vay. i always find that kind of ironic.

Reminds me of a song... I can't belive this now This isn't what I planned I lived and died and now I just can't understand With all the love I feel I could never leave you No matter what the cost My soul 's the price to see you
Oh how I love you The pain won't go away Oh when I need you You're always so far away I cry for you Leaving myself to blame I died for you I gave up everything
The pain was just to much When I finally saw her She's happy and in love In love with my best friend What makes it hurt so bad Is that I love them both And they will never know For love I sold my soul
Oh how I love you The pain won't go away Oh when I need you You're always so far away I cry for you Leaving myself to blame I died for you I gave up everything
Iced Earth - I died for you. This song is not a good song to take to heart (the singer is implying he committed suicide so his girlfriend could live happily with one of his best friends.) but it can really stir the heart... and I tend to think of it when i think of Jesus' sacrifice... he died so we could live happily in our day to day lives.

Indeed. Although, LaVay was not introducing something that new or radical. It was more like defining our basic nature and following that nature.

Caterham_Paladin heh... I'm always stepped over in these kinds of threads... dude you quoted iced earth and tried to tie suicide to christianity. that would be like me using(and oddly enough i did this) Marilyn Manson "I'm not a slave to a God who dosen't exist" in a chrsitian context.

Actaully I do think that that song by Manson fits me and every other Christian perfectly. We aren't slaves to a God that doesn't exist. Our God does exist and we are his children not his slaves, but family labor is free labor... heh he. sweatdrop
And I personally wonder if Jesus would rock out to "I Died for You." I bet he would adn he would be rushing the stage too... walking on the crowd the whole way.
And I have listened to that song by Manson many times... One fo my favorite AMVs was to it. And as soon as I heard it i was rocking out like, "Oh, hexagonal yeah! Preach it!" I used to listen to manson just because I liked his sound... until I started thinking about the image I was setting up for others to see. So now he just has a few songs in a small sad folder in my E:/ somewhere under /ROCK/.

Wow the exact argument i used. sorry about not following up but for once i wasn't trolling. funny thing though your God treats you like slaves and calls you family. he also damns any of his so-called children who don't call often enough.

That first post was great. smile It's so true.. He died on the cross for a bunch of horrible wretches who deserved to die.. Praise The LORD! biggrin ..However, I must disagree with the other posts saying to respect other people's beliefs. I mean, they CAN believe what they want, but I'll never respect a belief that gets you straight into hell. Ever.
