Read it, can't give it a full opinion until all chapters are read.
Just to point out one error.
You see, not five minutes earlier, Corlissa had noticed her teacher mistakingly writing the wrong answer to a question on the blackboard. Not wanting her to give the wrong information to those less informed, Corlissa politely raised her hand, as all little girls and boys should do in class, and waited to be called upon.
Mistakinly should be Mistakenly
and since this is written in past tense, shouldn't writing be wrote?

Actually, the word can be spelled 'mistakingly' or 'mistakenly'.
No. Corlissa noticed her teaching performing an action. It could also be written as "Corlissa had noticed as her teacher mistakingly wrote the wrong answer" but the way I wrote it is acceptable, I believe. I'm quite confident in that, in fact.
