Well its basic sword stuff...not a particular type...

Yea below the belt wasn't allowed but I still got kicked there before and no one seemed to notice for some reason. Grrrr head shots would be 2 points and body 1. *shrugs*

Yea well only people with magic can do that...or with another gun and whatnot.

Below the belt doesn't count... as if back then when they fought for their lives they were all like "Oh, let's not attack my opponent below his waist! OH!".

Yeah right. Leg and waist are SO good targets.

So like cutting and thrusting and that's it?

Yea I know hahahaaa

I mean you get taught how to hit everywhere but sparring in tournaments isn't completely free to do as you please. So silly...pffthahahaaa

That is not exactly what I meant about swordness but nevermind.

What did you mean? smile

Actually, limits sometimes DO make sense. We, for example, don't allow grappling when sparring, cause it's dangerous. A padded sword won't do you any harm, but a properly executed grapple will do exactly what it was supossed to- harm.

Well yes of course...you are taught how to control yourself.

I didn't learn a lot of grappling type moves though.

Many eastern martial arts don't have grappling, surprisingly, since grappling is far more effective than just striking.
