And Snake was shown, despite Sakurai stating that he's unlockable...

Maybe he actually is a starter, and of course Zamus is a starter.

xXxBusterxXx Maybe he actually is a starter, and of course Zamus is a starter. That has not been confirmed. Zamus could be unlockable or, worse, a final smash only character. I'm hoping that you can hold A before the match starts when playing as Samus to become ZSS, like Sheik in SSBM.

why would Zero Suit Samus be unlockable? What would be the point when Samus is a starter.

RegalBuster why would Zero Suit Samus be unlockable? What would be the point when Samus is a starter. So you could play as ZSS without using final smashes, for tournament play. It would be stupid to make ZSS final smash only, as a whole mess of professional players would be outraged. (Over-exaggerated, but you know what I mean) RegalBuster ..qfe? what does that mean? But why would ZSS be unlockable? How would they make ZSS unlockable when Power Suit has a 99% guarantee to be playable from the start? Why not make it like Sheik where you can play as her from the start? What would be the point of forming a circle with their Final Smashes and not letting you start the match with ZSS?

What I'm saying is that ZZS would be a separate character and you unlock her by using Samuses final smash. Then by using their final smashes you switch between the two characters. I'm not saying this is likely, but it is a possibility.

... But he doesn't have multiple slots... He is a single character slot that either always chooses Squirtle by default or he randomly throws out a Pokemon at the beginning of the match...

I'm not talking about his slots, I mean that before his release, many people said that PT as a character couldn't work, but he was added. What I mean to say is that you can't judge on what does or doesn't make sense.
