Sand Ninja Temari kogababe That's why it's anime, it's unreal. Rin just puts a happy face on because she believes people should be happy. She's grateful for what she has, that she found Sesshomaru. Before him, she wasn't that happy as I remember. It's okay to have an "out of this world" anime, once and a while... But I feel that this anime isn't one that's that strange. This one's characters are easy to relate with... Except, of course, the minor few.
The fact that Rin is so young makes me believe that, sure, she likes to be happy. She dosn't want to be sad. However, being so care-free brings an annoying personality that can get you down. She's young, and easy to be jelous of, because she dosn't have to face the horrible reality around her. EVERYONE she meets is protecting her from the truth. But hey, she dosn't care, because she's too happy and dumb to notice! So long as life is great for her... Poor, poor Jaken...
We don't know if she was happy or not, before she found Jaken, because they onlt showed us a couple minutes of her life, which were used in... Well, getting in the way. I felt bad for her when she didn't talk, and lived in the village. Now she's gone and taken advantage of her rather great luck.
Kouga basically put her out of her misery, though. She had no family, anyways. I really can't understand why Sesshoumaru awoken her, other that he's a pediphile. That's the thing, everyone puts Sesshomaru as a villian and he's not. He has compassion but doesn't show it, you have to watch an episode a hundred times to see it. (I have no life) From watching the 3rd movie, I learned a lot about Sesshomaru. He's just beyond mad that InuYasha got the Tetsusaiga when Sesshomaru requested it before Inu no Taisho died.

Sure, you're right that he may not have been before Inuyasha recieved the Tetsusaiga, but you said it yourself; He's just beyond mad for what happened.
And, from that happening, he has commited alot of different crimes. He is a nuetral character, yet he really lacks compassion.
I will admit that he at least has humanity, though... (In some cases) He, at least, brought Inuyasha out of his demon form. And he brought Jaken along with him. (What he did to Rin was not humane. It was pointless.)
So, he's a villan, basically... Yet it was influenced by something important.
(By the way, does anyone know what Naraku is after? And his motives? I really want to know, because I feel it must be something rather important, excluding 'all-powerful'...)

Ok, long story short for Naraku's plot: from episode 1-124, all he was trying to do was kill Kikyo because the demons he was created from loathe her for killing them and they want revenge. In which in episode 124, he thought he did but she ends up surviving because Kagome purified the poison in her. But then Naraku just wanted to strengthen his new body which looks awsome and he's just absorbing strong demons into him. But then in the manga now, he's killing his minions. Kagura was first I believe, then Hakudoshi who I don't think is in the anime yet. And Hakudoshi created Monoumaru (not sure on the spelling) and Naraku is trying to absorb him in his body so Monoumaru and Naraku are at war. And Kanna has supposively betrayed Naraku to help Monoumaru because he protected her. But I think Naraku sent her to power Monoumaru up so when he absorbs him, it'll make Naraku way more powerful. Oh yeah, Kohaku is with Kikyo now and I don't remember the whole story on that. She saved him or something and he wants to go with her because it hurts him too much to be with Sango.

lola_siannodel I'm pro-Kagome, Kikyo, and Sango, and I feel really out of place. If there is someone who's pro-Kagome other than me, speak now, so I won't feel so alone. Kikyo and Sango are okay, but Kagome gets on my nerves sometimes.

I agree with that. He seems to be pretty compassionate towards Rin, after all. He doesn't hit her like he does Jaken, he brought her back, he wants to take revenge on Kohaku/Naraku for kidnapping her, and he tells her to stay behind when he knows it's going to be dangerous.

You make it sound as though Jaken gets treated poorly. Sesshoumaru treats them both the same, and he was revived them both before. If I'm correct, I do believe he has revived Jaken more than once. He dosn't just tell Rin to stay away from trouble, either. Half the time, when that's the case, he addresses both of their names.
And, I personally don't think he wants to kill Naraku for kidnapping Rin, alone. But... If you're a SesshoumaruxRin fan, I'm sure you'd think that. And, sense Sesshoumaru is a demon who cares LITTLE(note, I didn't say he dosn't care about everything) about the well-fare of Kohaku. Anyone that gets in his way is the same as anyone else. As well as dead.
