Jazz watched the little crab fly though the air. "bro" he started, but remembering his own Crab issue, looking down at it pinching at one of his own claws. practically clinging to the side of the rock now, he sighed and lifted his claw up the crab dangling limply from it. it didn't hurt of cource, but he would have rather not had to risk handling the delicate creature,"ya ain't kiddin'" he said looking back at Starscream. "train them yerself?" he asked with a grin, shaking his finger slightly hoping the crab would let go

Starscream huffed, flicking away another crab. "If I had, they would be made of metal and would be latching onto your tail rather than chasing you off that rock." He hoped the crabs would continue harassing Jazz - maybe they would chase him off, and then Starscream could have his peace and quiet back. Even if watching the crab harass Jazz was highly amusing. "You're not going to get rid of it like that," the red mech mused, grinning again.

Jazz slid Starscream a cautious glance, Jazz was only thankful they were not latching onto his tail, though at the moment that was not exactly his concern. Twitching his finger again he frowned at the crab.“I don’ wanna hurt em” he told the other Mech watching as another Crab flew thought the air. “s’there turf” he added with a roll of his shoulder. Flinched in surprise as the crab on his finger suddenly dropped off, he quickly reached his other claw out to catch it, relinquishing the last grip he had on the rock and landing with a soft “thump” right in the sand. Jazz sat very still, he could sense the little fragments of ground rock attacking themselves to uncomfortable groves in his rear and tails.“Slaaaaag” he groaned shuddering and dropping the crab back off onto the rock. Trying to touch as little of the sand as he could, stiffly pushing himself up, looking over at starscream with a frown. “They don’t gatta be metal. Bet yer proud” he grumbled.

"Ah, yes, but I was in this spot first," Starscream retorted haughtily. "So, technically, they are violating my personal space." He couldn't help himself anymore and started snickering at Jazz's misfortune, settling himself further in the warm sand. It was getting into his inner workings, but that wasn't anything a round in the clouds wouldn't fix. The wind at such high speeds would blow it right back out of his circuits. He knew Jazz had no such luxury though which only amused him further though, for once, he allowed himself to be somewhat merciful.
"That sand won't come out with just water," Starscream informed the other mech. "Wind is best." He would have to carry Jazz for that to be possible, but he was slowly getting into a better mood, so why not offer? Granted, Jazz might not know what he was getting himself into - Starscream wasn't sure if his reputation for dizzyingly fast speeds preceded him or not.

Jazz gingerly took a step, trying to avoid as much movement as possible to try and prevent more sand from getting into him. frowning slightly at Starscream. "wind?" he knew Starscream was doing that on purpose, Jazz was one of the few Eoghan that was bound to the earth. and it would not occur to Jazz that Starscream would be offering assistance. since that was not really what Starscream did"ya forget Bro" he mutters flicking one of his claws, trying to shake the sand from it "or maybe ya don't, but I'm one of them grounded types" frowning at the sand below, trying to think of any possible way he could get enough wind to rid him of this annoyance.

Starscream shook his head. He had been hoping he would not have to actually come out and say what he was offering, but Jazz's dense nature never ceased to surprise him. "I would carry you, of course, you dolt," he snorted. It would be tricky, but he could manage it. As cynical as he was, and though he would never admit it aloud, Starscream found he was slowly lightening up if only a little. Jazz just had that effect on others.

Jazz thought that his audio receptors had scrambled what Starscream had just said, or offered. tilting his head slightly and doing a systems check on them, only to pull up the result that they were functioning perfectly. he figures of cource that Starscream would revel in his discomfort for MONTHS to come. swaying slightly on the uneven ground he looked over at Scream with a somewhat puzzled, skeptical expression."what? ya ganna drop me or somethin'? no joke?" he asked finally. picking his other claw up off the ground and shaking it as well.

Starscream glowered at Jazz, offended though he really couldn't blame him. Any other mech, he probably would have tricked and dropped or would have at least been more tempted to. "I'm not always a slaglicker," he snarled, beginning to regret opening up enough to make the offer in the first place. He stood up and shook the majority of the sand off of him, turning to walk away. "But since you obviously think I am, I'll withdraw my offer and take my leave."

Starscream just kept dishing out the unexpected behavior, Jazz jerked his head back slightly as he was growled out, beak falling open in surprise. Jazz's suspicions would have been confirmed if Starscream' would have acted more cruel, or laugh... or smirk like he ALWAYS did. but no, Starscream seemed... Offended."Yo" he said as Starscream started walking away. taking a step forward himself. "hold up bro, didn't mean ta piss ya off," he said ending rather awkwardly. what did he say to that? he was sorry? that might seem a little pathetic to the seeker, like he was only saying that to get what he wanted.

Starscream snorted, turning back to Jazz to glare at him. "Perhaps you should start thinking before you run your vocalizer then," he snapped even though he knew Jazz's assumption was warranted. He shook himself again and adjusted his wings, taking a moment to stretch slowly before turning back to Jazz just a little, his expression mostly blank this time. "Do you want to or not?" He asked for the skepticism, and he knew it, but it still hurt for some reason he couldn't understand.

"yeah yeah" lifting a shoulder at the first comment, a corner of his beak tightening as he silently, grudgingly, agreed with Starscream. gaze shifting down to the sand around his claws, he was starting to go over other ways he could probably get the sand off his joints, none were to promising at that point, until his optics flashed back up to the flier Mech, greatfull his blinking was hidden so well by Visor, because once again he did not expect to be offered again. being sure to keep a secure clamp over his beak, he rolled his head to the side, then shifted his body forward, striding forward stiffly"Thanks bro" he said with a grin.

Starscream's posture seemed to loosen a little as his offer was accepted. He stepped over to Jazz and worked his way through the sand behind him. "Hold still," he ordered before hopping onto Jazz's back, knowing he was lighter than he looked since he was built for flight. Flipping his wings to flight mode, he hooked his legs around Jazz, making sure his turbines were far away from any part of him so they wouldn't burn him. Starscream rested his head on top of Jazz's and muttered quietly, "If you want to change your mind, now is the time."

"Rrrr" he grunted in discomfort feeling sand from Starscream's claws sprawling over his back and in his arm joints, but remains unmoved as Starscream had instructed. a bit surprised to have Starscream jump on him, though he should not have been, since he knew Starscream was going to have to carry him. it was just not often Jazz had made physical contact with him... then again Jazz recalled having never even been close enough to touch Starscream before, so needless to say, this was different. tilting his head up at the light pressure on his helmet, and Starscreams words. grinning smoothly at them he flicked a clawed hand "Bring it" he replied deeply

Starscream squirmed a little on Jazz's back to make sure his grip on him was secure before kicking in his thrusters and taking them out of the sand and into the sky. He flew slowly at first - well, slowly for him - digging his talons under Jazz's armor to secure his grip where needed and making sure his talons didn't damage the other mech. He flew away from the beach and over the grasslands, letting the wind blow the sand out of their joints and circuits.

He had been aware that when it came to flying, Starscream had the ability and equipment to make it far more intense then organic Eoghan. Jazz had grown used to watching the organics fly around, a tame, comfortable speed. But this was far, far different, the power and speed in which they had taken off threw Jazz's sensor off. Taking a moment to gather them, he blinked down at the ground below, as they sped over. Chuckling one the initial shock wore off, starting to hope again that Starscream was not going to drop him, if by accident if nothing else, notching the adjustment Starscream had made with his talons. Lifting his own claw to observe it, visor picking up the helpless little sand grains being blow easily from there unwelcome clinging. Curling his fingers a couple of times; please with the result he glanced over his shoulder at the other Mech, still grinning. “aint s’bad” he said playfully, as if to challenge him.
