I say this with pride: I'm a Cherry Coke addict. The caffienne got me hooked. I don't see how Pepsi can be better. I checked the ingredients of both and Pepsi only has one less gram of sugar. Everything is the same, otherwise. Coke just tastes better. I'm in love with my Coke. I'm drinking my fourth 2-liter right now (I drink six on average every day). I know, I'm gonna die before I'm 30. That's my goal. I don't want kids, I don't want to get old, and I don't want to live without the ability to party and jump off of 40 meter walls without feeling sore the next morning. Hee hee, I win!

I have a friend who is a dr. pepper adict. It's crazy. He's in his twenties and he still has a super fast metabolism. I can't drink soda at all. Caffeine upsets my stomach and the sugar makes my teeth hurt. My teeth are really sensitive.

Kyoki Marie St. Jimmy XXVII Hey, I'm only 16, but I do have the same condition and it's not due to age. My metabolism is dangerously fast. Here's what I guess you could call a bit of help, it's not really a remedy and it's not so natural, but it's not a pill or anything: Alchohol tends to slow metabolism over a year or 2. This helps me a lot (Yes, I know, I'm under age). Also, I drink a lot of Coca-cola (Which I know is gonna haunt me later) and that seems to hold me in the same spot. I've only had 12 liters in the last 2 weeks and I'm still in the 125 lb. area, at 5' 9". This probably isn't much help, I just think that knowledge is gained to be shared, so I do. Alcohol on a regular basis? Bad. Red wine- sometimes good. If he holds true and alcohol can help, maybe a glass of wine with supper would help? And Jimmy? BAD! *scolds* No coke. Aside from being horrible for your body and your health (both short term and long, sugar tends to cause serious metabolic issues)- Pepsi is way better. XD Right, no Coke, in fact did you know that most types of pop contain on average 10 tsp. of sugar per can? ( diet pop has the poison aspartame instead) Sugar increases your insulin levels which can eventually lead to high blood pressure, high colesterol and even heart disease. Pop also contains phoshoric acid - lots of it too. This interferes with calcium absorption and digestion. it also contains tap water & all the contaminants like lead that go along with tap water, plus they add sulphates ( ever get headaches ?) and 30-55mg of caffine. Okay, there's my lecture for the day ( laughs), and yes, Pepsi is way better than coke - ha ha 3nodding

Nemone does coffee contain sulphates too? Just wondering cause coffee, decaf or regular, makes my ears pop and gives me headaches and stuff. Good Question... I have no clue, sorry. I do know that caffine itself can cause headaches in some people though.( even though it helps headaches for other people) I know one person who is highly allergic to caffine and even a cup of hot chocolate or a pepsi will give him a terrible migraine. I will keep searching for the coffee sulphate thing though..

wood_sorrel Here's a website that might help in your food choices: http://nutritiondata.com/It'll tell you the healthiest foods for gaining weight. (it'll also tell you the healthiest foods for losing weight too, for all you weight-gainers) I checked out this website. It says I need 2195 calories per day. Is that really as many as it seems? I'll keep looking, but I'm not even sure I eat that much!!

I'll keep looking, but I'm not even sure I eat that much!! I don't believe any of those total calorie recommendations. If I ate the 2000 calories that is recommended for me, I'd balloon in no time. I have to keep my calorie count to 1500 to maintain my weight. There's just so many complexities about how our bodies work that it's impossible to fully capture them in the equations they use. Don't worry about that, but I do like the stuff on that website that explains what makes a food filling or not - protein, fiber, and water-filled foods fill you up before you eat a lot of calories (and hence better for weight-losers), and fat, starches, and sugar-filled foods allow you to eat a lot of calories before feeling full. But of course the latter does not generally point to the healthiest diet. That's the other part of the website I like - it rates the nutritional value of each food too and points you to the healthiest choices.

HAHA! Someone agrees with me! heart
Caffiene allergies are more common than you'd think- my mom is horribly. It's terribly funny at first, but scary as all get out and push later. Once, we were at an office party, and she was drinking orange soda. Now, there's two kinds- Crush, and Slice- and one's caffinated and one isn't. It's hard to remember which is which, and she accidentally drank the wrong kind. After the first can, she was hyper and jittery. The second can, she was bouncing around like a squirril on crack- "hihowareyoui'mhermomifeelreallygoodhowaboutyoudoyouwantanapa-capherehaveonei'msureit'lllookreallygoodonyouwhynotareyousureokhihoware-youdidimeetyoualreadycauseican'trememberheredoyouwantamuffinohnotamuffin...." and so on and so on. Really amusing. Except after her third can, she started to get really dizzy, so we went home and I wound up driving- her chest hurt so bad she couldn't breathe and her mind wouldn't shut up. I checked her pulse when we got home and she was up in the end ranges of 100's- 190ish. For not doing a damn thing all night, that's insane. And it scared the crap out of me. So she can't have caffiene anymore. One can of pepsi a day, or three of the caffiene free if she's having a looooong day. Anymore, she has a cup of decaf coffee in the morning and that's about all.
