heh, since they changed the website, i've been there maybe...what? twice?
Like you I enjoyed browsing through the large list of all the manga, seeing what volumes were out or coming out (i liked how they'd put the series up, even if it was greyed out..at least I knew what to expect)
But yeah...navigation was a b***h when the changed it. So I just gave up altogether.

Yeah, I gave up on that website the first time they changed it. Too much of a pain in my a**, especially when I can get descriptions from Amazon or Anime News Network.
What's got my pissed right now is how they're treating their novel line. Or, more specifically, Kino no Tabi. I bought volume 1 back in October/November. Volume 2 was supposedly going to come out in July. Amazon and JM still list it with a release date of July 14. But it's still labeled as a pre order. What? Like the rest of you, I wish Tokyopop would pay attention to their Japanese licenses, instead of OEL, or what's overly popular.

It was one of the only word novels that ever caught my attention. But Tpop just won't get their head out of their Ameri-manga loving a** to fix the problem that's keeping the second volume of it from coming here! Tpop also doesn't seem to be taking charge with their other Japanese releases. Like the fact that I've been waiting for almost 2 YEARS for the English release of Lagoon Engine volume 4!!! Tpop says that it's the Japanese publishing company's fault for being slow with the licensing paperwork, but it's been so long! You'd think it'd all be settled by now! *Hmph!*[/rant] stressed

First it was supposed to come out in January, then July, now I THINK January of 2008! I was SO excited for the next on but it never came out... at least Seven Seas is releasing a GOOD amount of Light Novels soon! (Zero no Tsukaima! also Ballad of a Shinigami that looks pretty cute) And ViZ has Shakugan no Shana... (My favorite)

You know, I use to only buy Tokyopop. But the website, it makes me cry on the inside. I remember the website they had quite a few years ago. I could stay on it for hours and just look at the different titles they had! Now I have no idea what in the heck is happening on that website. I might just have to write a letter too.

SRSLY. I used to just float around it and check out their titles too! And when they were the VERY FIRST COMPANY to offer manga titles UN-FLIPPED. Holy cow, I had a field day. Nowadays, I scarcely read TokyoPop series. VIZ and Del Rey get most of my Nam's money. So sad to see the company slide like that. They were a large part of my early collecting days... and it makes me all nostalgic thinking about it.
