Izreal galloped through the allys and skidded to a stop. he hopped of the horse and padded it before entering the bar with two other elements not bothering to hide the fact that they were element meant that one was in flames and the other as black mist arising out of his face.

Izreal walked down the bar the place silent as the patrans looked at him and his "buddys".

Athrogate enters the tavern after a long day in the Marketplace. He goes to the barkeep and asks for a room and once receiving the key, he orders a mug of ale and some food. He sits and enjoys the warmth of the fire facing him. His back to the crowd, his cane leaning on the side of his chair.

A shady, hunched figure shambled into the pub with a distinct limp to one side. He bore a cloak of black, and a hood which obscured all but his broad jaw which held a very stern expression. Though his eyes could not be seen, the outline of a blindfold could be sensed against his Northerner skin upon closer observation. As he scuffed his way to the bar, a distinct chinking of chains could be heard. He slid onto a small stool in the corner with a labored grunt, falling perfectly silent as he listened to the crowds.

Athrogate doesn't notice Caustus enter. He just keeps enjoying the fire and calls for the barmaid for more food. He is perfectly at peace.

The dark man hums gently to himself in a gravely tone; no different from any other old codger walzing into a bar. Deep within, the gentle song hid his concentration. All who met his gaze could see only the purest form of mundane, turning away moments later without any sort of memory of the man. Though a hulking mass of well tuned sinew, within he was as small as any man could be, even to the point where it took a considerable amount of effort to notice him at all. He called for the maid in a queer sort of way, many taking start at his sudden, though warm, demands. " Ere, you lass. Bring a fellow some huntsman's ale. Ye' needn't be worried about cost... I'll be good for it... I assure you."

Athrogate sits there still, enjoying the warmth on his aging bones. He hears the huming and wonders where it comes from, then he hears in a familiar voice the call for the barmaid, he turns and sees Caustus, though he has trouble even recognizing him or keeping this sight in his mind. He struggles to and mutters, "Hmmm it seems I attract attention more than honey does for bees."

Feeling deft eyes upon him, the enshrouded Caustus begins to turn towards the onlooker, nodding solumnly as he fights to maintain his non-face. Another moment later, and there is a second Caustus at the onlooker's side, seated stiffly to the barstool on his left. He was as real as any of man's inventions, interwoven with the threads of time itself, and with a voice just as coarse as the tapestries they weave. "Selfishness does not suit the talented... I admit, I did misjudge your prowess."

Athrogate does not look at the apparition, impressed at it's authenticity but not awed or shocked. He stares into the flames, that childish spark in his eyes as it reflects the flames of the fire in them, he smiles slightly, "Well when one sees a man of my age, they tend to think me out of shape or too old to do anything."

The apparition Caustus made a gravelly half chuckle and turned to face the fire. The air about him was strangely empty, but stranger thing was that he seemed more substantial than the actual Caustus, himself. He even bore the same odour of woodsmoke and bizarre chemicals.
He sat, cracking his gnarled knuckles against the bar, and shifted up to his full height. The strangest thing about him was the lack of that strange sword-staff at his side. "To be completely honest, you are actually in the spring years of your life... a wise choice for the Inquisition. Age is irrelevent, time is irrelevent; there is only the Unseen Hand which drives all things worldly. I would love to replace that... Hand some day."

"Hmmm, interesting concept, however the Inquisition's methods of doing a job go against what I agree with." He continues to stare at the fire. While the spark in his eyes have no left, the tone of his voice was far more serious now that he heard about the Inquisition again.

The apparition shuddered with a caged frustration, much like the actual counterpart, though composure was maintained in his tone of voice and posture. "What would any common man know of the evils of nature? You know quite little of our methods, but deny them just the same, ja? Why is this?"

Athrogate sighs and says,"And already you belittle me again, yet I bested you in combat, you alone should know I am no common man. I know of your methods enough to know I do not like them. You are the kind that will do whatever it takes to reach your own ends."

Kiki slipped in the bar, walking swiftly to the corner of the room, settling herself at one of the tables. She just eyed the other customers, thinking about her next target. Kiki knew she needed money soon or else she'd have to go a few days without food. "Maybe I'll just pick-pocket some drunken man again," she muttered to herself. She hated getting near thse drunk bastards. They were usually hitting on her or yelling at her. A barmaid came and asked Kiki if she wanted anything but the kitsune just shook her head no and the lady went away.

Th psuedo-Caustus chuckled heartily in a grating, unpleasant way. His long, boney fingers interlocked before him as he glowered at his subject with a fire of intrigue in his gloomy eyes. "You seem to know quite little of our...customs, just the same. To know another, you must first assert yourself with them in perfect contention. It was a far finer introduction then what one could gleen from words or script, but by no means actual "combat"." The mock pleasure on his lips sank again into a wide, sad frown as he shook his head pittiously. "But, alas, such dogmatic inhibitions stayed your hand. 'A shame that you did not see for all the convolution of the spoken word." His eyes widened slightly as his head stopped swaying, now bowing it's long, bald dome of a skull in affirmation of his low, rolling words. "Rest assured, others will... oh yes, others will..."
