I don't really battle human players (at all) so my sob story is in-game.
So one day I decide to do a grass-type challenge in my Sapphire game, and all is good. I had no problems with any of the gym leaders (not even Flannery, thanks to my Lombre's resistance to fire) UNTIL I reached Winona. So you're thinking "well yeah, flying > grass so what?" but that's not just the problem here. My team consists of Grovyle (duh), Cacturne, Breloom, Tropius, Lombre, and Lileep, and Lileep's dual typing puts it at no disadvantage to all of those flying moves (*cough*AerialAceAbuse*cough*)... and it was fine, at first. Despite being at a major disadvantage even with Lileep, I was holding my own (a bit of a level advantage helps too) until the game gets uppity. Winona had only Altaria left, and she just kept spamming its Aerial Ace over and over. This was fine; I expected as much. What I didn't expect was for the thing to land critical hit after critical hit. Forget Dragon Dance, who needs that when every attack you do against your foe is a critical one? >.>;
The same thing happened on my second and third tries, only her whole team was blessed with 'critical hit mania.' I went out and gained a few more levels for the whole team, and then the match went on somewhat normally. There were critical hits (for both sides) but expected ones, because they do happen; just not one after another. ._.; It was nice to finally put that Feather Badge behind me. I should really finish up that challenge soon though... the next two badges should be pretty easy to get.

hydroh I can't think of any really terrible defeats off the top of my head, but I can recall a really pitiful win...I was fighting the 8th gym leader in Emerald, Juan, and his Kindra is really powerful...And the only way I beat him was by getting him to use up all his PP and use Struggle. rofl I had to do the same thing for Pike Queen Lucy on emerald. Her milotic started to kill itself. rofl

A Jigglypuff wiped out my Charmeleon that was 11 levels higher than it.
It kept putting me asleep and wearing me down with Pound. D:<

A couple weeks ago, I was fighting a multi battle against my friends. We have all hacked our games (except my partner, who didn't have access to an AR). The opposing side had said to me, "You can't use your Darkrai, but we'll let you use Arceus." So my partner leads with a lv 50 something Steelix and the rest of us led with lv 100 stuff, me with my Arceus. After getting rid of one pokemon what do they pull out? FREAKIN' DARKRAI!!! I had been under the impression that neither side could use Dakrai for that battle, but NOOOOOOOO... only I couldn't use it! stressed I'm taking my vengeance ASAP though, so it'll be OK. I think.

I just battled my friend who is a competitive battler a week or so ago and his team utterly spanked mine. Not a single kill on my side. ._.
Even though my team is more geared towards double battles and his Pokemon were Pokesav'd with max IVs and the best EVs, I would have liked at least one KO.

It keeps me from getting to cocky. xD

I just started a new game on my diamond... sweatdrop But I traded my best pokemon to my bro's game for temporary holding. Dunno why I said this. Just felt like it I guess... confused

Worst defeat ever? Couple years back when the game was young. Red version I believe I had at the time, I used the Missing No. glitch to get lots of rare candies and get a team of pokemon up to 100. I walked around like I was a big shot in the school yard (I was like 9 at the time) until a friend of mine came through with a team of around 70 level pokemon he raised the old fashioned way. Not to mention I didn't know anything about stats and what not so the pokemon I had were on a looked cool basis... but yeah. I straight up got smacked around like Curly.

My friend forced me into battling (2 on 2) with him on the pokemon gameboy sp game versions. He had all of his pokemon at lvl 100 and most were legendaries while most of mine were ranging around 50s except for about two who were around the high 70s. sweatdrop Yeah, I got basically owned there but I did manage to KO one of his pokemon. His Kyogre KOed at least 3 of my pokemon with thunder. crying

I have a nasty habit of not leveling up my Pokemon and instead relying on my wits as a Trainer to fight battles. So I was blown away when fighting my friend. This has been my problem since I first got Pokemon Red. Since I always won anyway, I never had a problem with it.
That all ended when I was fighting my friend in Diamond. Because my Pokemon were weak, I stood no chance when she sent out Mesprit and Uxie. The very type I had no offense against.
Since I'm posting in this thread, it's needless to say she slaughtered me. Especially since her Pokemon knew diverse moves like Flamethrower and Thunder, which coincided exactly with my Pokemon's weaknesses.
Next time though, methinks I will have the last laugh. ((She stopped playing months ago and she just happened to have it with her when I played her. Mwahaha.))
