"Well then how about we meet in Eeylops Owl Emporium in Diagon Alley? They have all sorts of owls." Lily suggested.

"Of course," said Rowena, picking up her bags and walking out of the Three Broomsticks.

Illuminatus stumbled into the three broomsticks and promptly ordered a firewhisky. He settled for a butterbeer after he was informed by the bartender he was not old enough. Sitting down with a thump in one of the chairs and trying to unwind from his hair-raising defense against the dark arts class, he knew he had exaggerated on his fear of rotting mummies and the like being cured in his essay. He wondered if a Memory charm would be unreasonable to do on himself, after seeing the drooping skin and maggot riddled flesh and shriveled features of the boggart. Yechh! He wanted to forget that!

Kirra smiled as her friends walked out. She ordered another drink-anything-and her eyes lighted upon her newest student. Thanking the bar man she slipped off her stool gently to take up a seat next to him. Hello-Illuminatus, am I correct?"

A girl with dark nearly black hair walked into the Three Broomsticks. She had a warm thick black cloak wrapped around her tall frame. Around her head was a wreath of tiny gold flowers she'd charmed this morning.
The Three Broomsticks, one of her favorite places was completely deserted except for two people. She recognized the elder as Professor Riddle, her Ancient Magic teacher but the boy she was unfamiliar with.
The 6th year Ravenclaw took a seat at a table, ordering herself a small glass of water. The waiter returned a moment later with her order.
A brown satchel bag was wrapped around her shoulders, concealing the many books she'd brought along. Her left hand dug into it, reaching out a parchment covered book.
Luminita Carina Isabeau Price
The name was etched in gold ink and neatly written. She opened up her diary, taking a fine gold feathered quill with equally golden ink and began writing.

"Yes, that's me. You are professor... Riddle?" He paused ever so slightly after that fateful name. "I've had a rather hair raising lesson in Defense Against the Dark Arts. I did enjoy your lesson on the Egyptians- they've always fascinated me, even in my days as a muggle, before I got my letter. I even dressed up as Tutankhamen one year..." He trailed off, lost in his fond memory. They were few and far between for him.

Illuminatus introduced himself politely, but remained somewhat distant, cautious as usual of any new person.

He shook her hand firmly but gently, casting the diary another piercing glance. "Oculus verum!" he thought. The world in front of his eyes rippled, and all things he saw became transparent, filled with runes that described every aspect of what they formed. The diary, instead of being simple runes of paper and ink, was a maelstrom of spinning symbols of different colors. However, it was still beyond his ability to read the advanced magic in the diary. He let the spell disintegrate, and his vision returned to normal. "What kind of book is that?" he asked her.

Illuminatus sighed. This seemed to be his day to get yelled at, hexed, and walked out on. He hid his emotions behind a curtain of cold and calculating Slytherin stereotype, but was wondering how much more he could take.

Luminita turned around. "Can you read ancient runes?" she asked. She could only hope the dissillusionment spell to change her writing to runes had worked. If he had read it, it was only a matter of time before her fears became true.

"Not yet very well. But I'm intrigued- you knew I was using a vision enhancement charm. How?" He trailed off thoughtfully. "But I didn't see what your diary said." Illuminatus reassured her, then sighed heavily and took another sip of butterbeer. "This isn't exactly my day," he confided. "I probably couldn't read the runes even if I tried."

"Be glad you couldn't!" she hissed. "I didn't know, anyone who tries to read it other than the owner it will be nothing but runes. One of the spells my mother could cast on it when she had it," replied Luminita. She closed her mouth, she'd said too much.
