"This is still going to be my first year." He said as he examined the book store display. "Both in England and in Hogwarts. So I'm having some trouble finding all this stuff here in the list and was wondering if you could help me."
He looked back at her as he shifted a little to the side in order to get under the slightly cooler shade the building was projecting.
"Show me where the stores are and stuff. If you don't mind that is."

Margaret was taken aback by the question, to say the least. No one ever asked her for help, except her mother, whos requests allways got the retort "Can't you do it yourself?" But this was different, the boy actually seemed to need help, and there was something about him which made Margaret feel... protective.
"Er- yeah, allright." she answerd, thinking that she could take care of the rest of her shopping whilst she showed this boy around anyways.

Inside Madam Malkin's, Sira couldn't honestly say she was having much fun. It seemed like her girly-clothes-loving side was a bit dormant, that day. However, when Madam M's assistant brought out her pointed witch hat, she couldn't help but smile as she envisioned herself wearing it, swishing away with her wand. Hogwarts was so very close.
"Mother, I'll do fine, won't I?", she asked.
"Of course", replied Sitara, nodding. "No one thinks the opposite", added Sira's father.
"And hopefully I'll make friends, too", thought Sira, looking out the shop's window, as she watched the girl and the boy walk together. They didn't seem upset at eachother at all, now.

That took a weight off his shoulders. Now he could be done with the chore faster and get out of the heat.
"Awesome, thanks!"
Gabriel said, smiling softly as he moved closer to her and stuck out his hand in the girl's direction, adjusting the strap of the backpack as he did.
"I'm Gabredian, but I'd prefer it if you called me Gabriel." He said.

"Margaret Braxton" she said, gripping Gabriel's hand, shaking it firmly, as she were to prove something. "Let's get to it then. Have you bought your clothing yet? Most people usually start with that, and concidering where we're standing..." She gestured at the moving plaque spelling "Madam Malkins" right next to them, with the might be the shadow of a crooked smile.

His brows furrowed as he tilted his head sideways a little to read the sign behind Margaret. And then even further when he saw the smile trying to take shape on her lips. A retort was already forming on his tongue. But Gabriel decided against and ignored it. She had agreed to help, he might as well let her have her own amusements for the trouble he was giving. Manners first his mother would say.
"Well, that's useful" he said calmly, his face softening again. "Well, I already know where the bookstore is so I can come back here later so you don't waste too much time. Let's go there then so you can tell me how bad I look."
He stretched his back and started heading in Madam Malkins direction, stopping after only two steps. 'Manners', he remembered, 'Show manners.'
"Lead on, you're the expert here." said Gabriel softly, making a slight bow with his head.

"Er- allright" said Margaret, wondering if she should laugh or not. Bowing, he couldn't be serious, could he? The judging by his behavious so far, Margaret decided that he very well might be, and strode past him without a word to spare his feeling.
Stepping into Madam Malkins, she couldn't help but to smile. The clean, tidy store had allways been one of her favorites, filled with everything one could wish for if one seeked to make oneself more presentable. Madam Malkins was currently busy with another student. Margaret did a slightly loud "He-hem" noise to draw attention to the fact that there was no a que, and the she might want to hurry up.

Gabriel followed Margaret wordlessly inside the huge store. Wizard's robes of all kinds were hanged or folded into shelves in an almost too perfect orderly way. He glanced at a girl being fitted for her own robes, seeming to be no older than he was. It looked like she was on display, and he'd probably be the next there. The thought of it turned his face into a frown as he folded his arms and leaned against a wall. Sensing something stir in his backpack as he did so, Gabriel carefully took the backpack off and patted it gently on the side.
"Will I have to get up on display like her?" He said to Margaret, but staring at the girl now holding a weird hat. Not frowning any more, but with an annoyed look.

"Now dear, spread your arms" asked Madam Malkin. "I need to see the length of those sleeves."
Sira handed the hat to her mother, who placed it on the counter. "Madam Malkin", she said, "I'll be paying for the robes and everything else now. Amun and I are just going to get something to drink." Then she turned to Sira and continued: "Sweetheart, after you're done, bring your robes and come meet us at The Leaky Cauldron, okay?"
She was replied with a nod, as her daughter still looked at the boy and the girl outside the window. Just as quickly as she lost them from her sight, they reappeared. In fact, they entered Madam Malkin's, which made Sira feel very self-conscious about how silly she probably looked, being with her arms spread out on top of the stool, while Madam Malkin worked on the hemlines.
Then, Sira heard a very pronounced "aHEM", which caught Madam Malkin's attention.
"Oh, more students getting ready for Hogwarts, wonderful!", she said joyfully, looking over Sira's oversized sleeve. She signaled to the assistant, pointing with her nose and/or chin, in a way Sira didn't quite understand. However, it became quite clear when said assistant brought out another stool, placing it next to Sira's. One of them was going to have to stand on it, and possibly with such a ridiculous pose as hers.
"Come on, dears, step up, one of you. I'm a bit busy... nearly done, really, but that doesn't mean we can't get started on you", said Madam M, gesturing to her assistant, who awaited either one of them with the measuring tape in her hand.

Gabriel swallowed hard, suddenly becoming very self-conscious as his question got quickly answered . He took a glance at Margaret, but just as quickly as he did that, he looked away and steeled his expression.
Setting his backpack on the ground by the wall, he walked towards the stool - saying in a low voice "Don't let anyone mess with my bag, Silk is sleeping." as he passed by Margaret - and stood up on the stool, feeling quite silly, and displeased with the whole situation.
"Hello" he said quietly to the girl being fitted, before returning to his inspection of the store, and without meaning looking at Margaret just to be sure she hadn't just up and left.

For half a second, Sira felt caught by his silver eyes, although he didn't look at her for long, as he seemed more interested in examining the room around them. "H-hello", she stuttered, thinking back on when she saw him yelling at the other girl. She didn't want to sound too enthusiastic, but she didn't want to be rude, either.
She tried to give a genuine smile and a shrug, but as she did so, she felt a p***k in her left shoulder.
"Ow!", she cried. "Dear, you must stand still", said Madam Malkin, who was working on the robe's collar, trying not to stab Sira with a needle again.
"Right..." she replied, lowering her head as she felt her cheeks flush with embarassment.

OOC: Well i'll be joining up now, one more to fill up at Malkin's biggrin
Alex had left his grandmother busy talking to the Flourish & Blotts manager about some books and slipped away with the list from Hogwarts, he checked what he was missing and went by himself to get the first item: the robes.
Being used to walking the streets and even knowing many of the store's owners since his grandmother had her own store there he went straight to Madam Malkin's store. He noticed upon arrival that there were many kids about his age there and went inside excited with the prospect to make some fast friends.
"Hi Madam Malkin!" he said to the old witch that was fitting a girl.
"Oh hello Alex dear, how are you doing? And Amanda? Haven't seen her lately." she said after just a glance to see who entered.
"Grandma is ok thank you, i'm fine too." he answered very politely. He then looked at the girl on the stool and to the other boy who was just getting up on the other stool.
"You guys going to Hogwarts too?" he asked with a cheerful smile.

"Oh, great. One more to watch the display he said, taking a glance at the brash kid who just came in." He murmured softly to himself. This was getting worst by the minute. And it was then that he heard the girl next to him cry out and nearly make him loose his balance. He usually would have had something sharp to say, but the prospect of that needle piercing his skin next had somehow pushed it away.
He sighed, and looked over at Margaret, staring straight at her eyes as if trying to ask if it was ALWAYS like this.

Margaret surpressed a giggle as Gabriel stared , almost pleadingly at her. Uncharacteristicly, she smiled encouragely towards him, tilting her head. This was quite like having a younger, quite brother.
"Afraid of needles?" she said, suddenly serious again "Don't be such a baby, it takes two seconds."

Kale glanced into Madame Malkin's shop and saw how crowded it was. How he hated to wait...for anything really, but this was the best wizarding robes shop in Diagon Alley, and he shuddered at even the thought of entering a 2nd handed robe store.
So steeling himself, Kale strode into the shop and coldly glanced around.
