Ehh, it was a crappy death. He just sounded kinda constipated and vanished in a bang of blue light, it looked more like he was teleporting to me, though it's doubtful that that's the case.
And I'm pretty glad Virgil's not showing up, there's not much else to learn about the character.

Well, honestly, do you want a cyborg Vergil to come back for the sake of having Vergil back? Have him destroyed and ressurected again and again like a cartoon villain? No, I say if you love him, let him go.
And, in an attempt not to be killed by the millions of fangirls I've already angered, I'd have to say he wouldn't be that pretty in the new style.

I know from the beggining because Dante is not even the main person, so what made you think Virgil was in it?

Does any one know what happened to him at the end of DMC 3? Because last time I saw him he was about to possibly face the Prince of Darkness. WEE NEED VVVEEERRGGIILLL BBBAAACCCKKK!!!!

Wow, everyone still believes he won't be here? Just like everyone believed this would be PS3 exclusive? Or that Nero had no relation to Dante (relation doesn't mean related by blood, but has a link to the other character that's important)?
Honestly, Kobayashi's such a poor liar it just ain't funny. He's said both that Vergil has an important role to play in the series and that the staff want to see him again and that he won't be in the game.
Vergil642's hot top tip: Vergil will be in it in Nelo Angelo form. Also, that "death scene" was originally meant to be a death scene but was made to be able to be easily retconned into a "teleported away" scene.

However, his worth as a source is almost as good as me as a source (yeah, ok so he's a better source...) due to all the lies he tells. Honestly though, the way he giggles like a naughty child who thinks they've gotten away with something mischievous whenever he assures us that "Vergil won't be in the game" indicates heavily that he's lying. Thus, I feel he's probably telling us that Nelo will be here. God I hope he doesn't ruin my plot prediction...it's going perfectly so far...

My theory on all this:
He won't be Virgil as we remember him, but kinda of like Nelo Angelo, but not O_o'
To quote the article: 'Vergil IS back, but we'd like to keep it a secret on how he comes back. I will say that he does have a role in DMC4 though.'
Kinda leading me to think that he is their, he just might be pulling the strings or something.
Could be why Nero and Dante are fighting....
