Ah.. before the curse of the even numbered Robins.. Robin 2 dead Robin 4 dead.. Before men got raped by crazy women wearing tight orange outfits. Back when the League didn't erase a hero's memory because he got in the way. Back when someone wouldn't lose a friend, a girlfriend, and his father all in one week. Ah.. those were the days. I suddenly feel very depressed sad

Know what we all need to do? Grab the Cosmic Treadmill, travel back in time, and stop Captain Cold and the Riddler from hatching an elaborate scheme to steal the world's largest Chess Board.

Feel good stories about stuff that never ever happens in the real world! Good vs evil, with black and white lines. True escapism! 3nodding

Comics are heading in the wrong direction with all of these depressing dark stories. And yet, they MUST see the good business they're doing with the reprints of Silver Age stuff. Why else would they decide to make 10 + volumes of Supergirl silver age reprints?
It should be plain that the attitude of the average comic fan is shifting away from the nineties-era 'realism.' Which was never very realistic to begin with...

That's one of the reasons I like Birds of Prey so much. It's a very stable environment, very consistant.
