"You may say anything you can think to. But they probably wont change a thing." The glowing orb swung between his hands as he passed it back and forth to himself. "This isnt a matter of a problem that threatens you all, its more permanent than others we've dealt with. He will always be here, up until I leave. You won't ever be safe again if I continue as I have."

Vik looked up from his pasta and saw Nailah. She looked really stressed.
"Hey Nailah! You don't look so well..."
Munalisk swallowed his chicken. "Yeah. What's wrong?"

Nailah glared at Vik. "Don't shout. I can hear you just fine." She went over to table and sat down. Laying her head on the cool wood surface she looked at Vik and the dragon. Rubbing her gritty eyes, she said "I just had an empath attack. I'll be fine. So, dragon, I trust you and Eclipse have been getting along better now that the mess with the egg has been cleared up?" She slowly stood, wincing when the pounding in her head grew worse, and made her way over to the sink. She grabbed a glass and turned on the water, letting the cold liquid flow till it reached the brim. Snapping it off she lifted the glass to her lips and drank deeply. Her headache was still pounding but it was not quite as bad.

Aura looked to the floor a moment before looking back up to Saradin. "When have we ever been truly safe here Saradin? Can you tell me that? You stay, we're in danger, you leave we're still in danger." She laughed almost bitterly. "I know you have this need to protect us but whether you stay or leave the danger is always there. Just like the shadow plane is everywhere, posing the said danger." Crossing her arms for a moment, she set her features into a serious state. "Perhaps you can look at this for a form of coexistence than to one of constant killing of something that can't die."

"Ok! Sorry!" he said normally.
"Things between me and the hawk-dog are pretty much normal. But I wanted a chicken!" He stole Vik's pasta and swallowed all of it while he had his back turned.
Vik frowned at Munalisk but turned away from him a few seconds later.
"So what exactly caused this Empath attack?"

"Of course. I never thought I'd get beyond the door without a lecture from someone. Maybe even myself." Slowly, Saradin was building distance between both himself and Aurahkah's guardian. "Truth be told, I know it wouldnt do much to make a difference, but it was enough to remove this one threat." Then the sphere darted through the air off to one side of Eclipse. "I won't leave though, thats just trying to flee from what worries me most. The real problem is how theres nothing I can do to end it."

Nialah gulped the rest of her water and set the glass in the sink taking the deep gasping breaths of one who has just drank a liquid extremely fast. She looked at Vik, "Vik, when an empath who is as sensitive as I am feels a very strong feeling, be it sorrow, rage, love, it affects us in strange ways. Each one is different. Me, I feel the actual feelings of the one who is crying, jumping for joy, or gritting their teeth. When an emotion becomes too strong..." she trailed off unsure of how much to tell him. Shaking her head she walked over to the bar and poured herself a glass of her favorite wine. Taking a sip she mulled over whether she wanted to conitnue or not.

Eclipse turned, ran a few paces and snatched the orb from the air before it had a chance to even attempt to smash into a wall. He trotted back to stand next to Aurahkah, ball in mouth.

She was watching him and his gaining distance. When you've trained your eyes for years to see what others missed, it wasn't hard. "Well I'm glad you're at least thinking straight. And that's why I said find a way to coexist with it. Maybe not kill but contain such a thing."

"I've considered that from every angle as well. My duplicate has everything about me, but twisted even more so into depression. He wont agree to that. And worse, if he was began to break free of the plane and find peace, then wed have FOUR of me to deal with as we both generated new copies."

"No offense, but TWO of you is more than enough. And who said he'd have to agree with being contained?" Aura's expression seemed to darken even more. "Sometimes things need to be forcefully done whether one or both parties are happy or not." She turned from him walking in the opposite direction. "You can't let a shadow haunt you forever Saradin..." Aura then disappeared down the steps that led to the manor's vaults.

Eclipse dropped the orb and rolled it back to Saradin. "Hang onto it for a while for me. Besides, it seems to help you think." With a fluff of fur and feathers Eclipse too turned and followed Aurahkah down stairs.

Nailah finished her wine and looked at Vik, "Anyway, I'm still recovering from one of these 'attacks' so I am going to get some sleep. Enjoy your food, Vik. Munalisk." Nodding to the two, she made her way back out of the kitchen and on her way to her room. Her headache had lessened to a dull throb. She slipped into her room and changed into a red silk nightgown. It made her feel good, even when seh felt terrible...much like now. Pulling back the covers she slipped into bed.

Rasui wandered into the room and stared at her mistress with big yellow eyes. Curling up into a ball at her feet she laid her head down and slept.

((gotta go to school tomorrow. so must get some sleep))

Giving them both time to leave, Saradin replied to the empty space they once filled. "It's not so easy to capture a planar traveller. And he knows everything that I do, now he'll be watching for that." Saradin wandered around the great hall for a couple minutes, just taking in the scenery before sinking into a chair. "Can't keep him here, can't cart him away. His body would rot if it departed from its home for to long. Left there, he'd get out sooner or later or just lapse back into the shadows..." He shuddered violently at that thought, even death would be a better fate than to be consumed into the composite darkness. Nothing about this idea sat well with him, entrapping his copy felt loathsome. No matter how twisted this other being was, he was in terrible agony, and Saradin wanted to ease that pain more than anything.

Several hours later, Saradin was poised over the corpses of his 'friends'. Nailah, Bastet, Kasis, Eclipse, even Khenu; all the ones he restrained himself from harming the day before were dead. But most of all he loathed Aurahkah and kicked at her body. "Contain me? I have to remove the rest of you filth from my path in order to save my kind." The intensity of his face was barely masking his despair as he gave way into madness. Just as his body quaked and tears fell from his face landing down on the bloodied floor, the unattural silence of the shadow plane was shattered. The loud crack of all his ammunition being emptied into the fallen was overlapped by his sreams of frustration and agony. With only the last shell remaining, the gun barrel was raised to the side of his head. Instead of his chosen action, with a final tormented sob the gun clattered to the floor along with his knees and his hands. There balanced on all four limbs, Saradin's tears mingled with the spilt blood as he cryed into the night of the Shadow Plane.

Vincent Voladu

Two figures paced across the darkened lawn, one was obviously Vincent smelling of smoke, the other, a raven haired little girl dressed in a long Victorian style white dress. He stopped a few feet form on of the thick front doors" Here we are" he stated before oping the doors and stepping inside.
The little girl ran in after him closing the doors before he could get to them
Vincent gave her a smile before starting down the hall, the little girl close in tow"Would you like something to eat?" he asked looking back over his shoulder.
The little girl nodded to him" Yes please" she stated in a monotoned voice.
Vincent lead the girl threw the winding halls toward the kitchen. Once inside he sat the girl in a chair and went about making so meting for her to eat.
It was good to finally be back at the manner, He had only intended to be out for a few hours to check on the girl, not the four days he was out. It was too bad about the family...He looked back over his shoulder at the little girl who was now playing with her dress It was hard to believe that one so small could be so dangerous.

Eliptical dots of light buzzed and spun around his sight. Heavily laden eyes pulled open slowly, and an instinctive hand rubbed at them to dispel the glowing blots. Saradin had fallen asleep in his chair before the fireplace and was stirring slightly at the sounds of those passing by. He did have at least enough sense in him to be wary of whoever it was, and his paranoia drove his other hand to his sword. Silently he watched as Vincent departed the room with a young girl, and sighed in relief. His worst fears werent come to pass, but this could be equally bad. Rather than pointlessly tailing Vincent, he followed him out of the room and entered the kitchen directly. "Evening Vincent." Not much for words right now.

Vincent turned on a heel giving saridin a noddy" Evening" He Thought someone had been watching him but he had brushed it off as nothing. He looked across the room to the little girl and back to Saridin"Is there something you need?"
The raven haired youth had dropped her hands to her lap, Her emerald orbs locking on saridin. She said nothing, just stared at him.
Vincent made his way from the counter and across the room." Ah yes, I don't believe you saw her much when she was here before." He stated pushing his left hand down into his pocket.
He looked no different then usual other then the smell of smoke clinging to his body, his eyebrows and hair were slightly singed and most noticeable was the weapon attached to his right forearm. brown straps ran over the arm buckling a pair of razer sharp jagged blades to the back of his forearm. They looked to be polished to perfection and were covering in strange runes.
