Hari let out a small sigh, shaking his head a bit and stopping. "Fine, by all means let your dragon take his full form," the man spoke, sarcasm soaked into many, if not all, of his words, "When the Lord decides to send out his guard with special poisons that not only pierce a dragon's thick hide but completely shuts down all the muscles in their bodies- including the heart, don't come complaining to me." Though it sounded as though Hari was annoyed by the words of the dragon knight (and indeed he was), the man was reiterating the point that he was trying to keep everyone as safe as possible to his ability.

Claw had managed to drift to the far back of the group again after the encounter with the two Japanese girls. His bad mood had returned- he hadn't been able to talk to them afterwards to see what had been the big issue with him touching them. His arms folded over his chest, and the angel had stooped back down to keeping an eye on the pink-headed half-demon. He didn't want to sleep outside, either, but highly doubted she'd get him a room (let alone be in hers).


"It was here!" The male yelped, lifting his head off of the sweet, nectar-bearing grass that sprouted from the ground. His large head swung around, back to alert the rest of the cat-like group. "Not even a few hours ago! We'll have it tracked in no time!"
The rest of the beasts, Holt included, didn't answer. Now wasn't the time for it. According to the scent, they were getting closer to it... as well as to the city that was always awake, and homed some dragons of its own.

"You have no idea what these people have been through, nor do you have experienced the wars here. You know nothing of this place to put simply," the man spoke, his voice and expression were dark on his face, "If it is as safe as you say it is, then by all means, proceed on your own. I did not call you into this world, and perhaps I should not help you leave it until you show some respect to the people who can live here." Hari easily lifted himself onto his zeber's back, turning the animal's head so that it turned around. "You see the city. If you want to wander to Mercunias, it's about two days southwest of here."

"That's nice," the half demon replied, her tone cold. "Why should I care?"

"And give me one good reason why I should do anything for you?" Mickey asked. She didn't turn once to look at Claw as she spoke. Her attention remained ahead of her, towards Parinene.

"Because you owe me." Claw crossed his arms over his chest, and snapped back at her. No, Claw was sure that Mickey didn't owe him anything, but he felt it was his place to said she did. He hadn't meant for his words to be as rude as they had come out to Mickey, but Claw couldn't help it. Her grumpy attitude towards him was getting on the boy's nerves! "And what if they have things crawling on the streets during the night?"

The zeber snorted before it started walking, the rider's shoulders moving with the animal's bobbing head. His dark-colored eyes watched the group only a moment longer before the man turned his head towards the east, where the animal was moving. Though he knew that the group had no way of knowing, there was a small indignance from the god.

Mickey finally looked at Claw, and she gave a small laugh. "I have to say, it's kinda fun watching you beg. But even if I did pay for a hotel room for you, no way in hell would you be in one with me. I've already had more than enough of finding wierd guys sleeping next to me." Though the half demon had been focused on the city of Parinene, she hadn't noticed that their guide had left; Claw had distracted her.
