Ok, could someone help me with this?
Ok, mother orders new computer, YAY! But now I learn that since our moniter is already quite new, we're not getting another one. My CD burner is broken, so that leaves floppies for getting all my crap from the old computer to the new one. Problem is that since we only have one moniter I'll only be able to use one at once.
So that means I need about a bazillion floppy disks.
There's a better way to do that, right? gonk

Buy a network cable. (Ethernet cable) If you have a router, then you can connect the towers to the router, network them (which may require you to switch the monitor, but it shouldn't be too hard to get them to recognize each other. Windows XP has a network wizard you can access under Control Panel > Network Connections.) then you can access the old computer via My Network Places on the new computer, and you don't need the monitor on the old one. Or if you don't have a router, connect the computers with the cable in the same spot you'd hook them to a modem.

Haru Mania word to the wise.. DON'T GET SPEEDING TICKETS.. parents don't like that. My brother once got a speeding ticket in his friend's car, which was actually owned by his friend's dad, so the dad ended up with the ticket. Brother paid it though.

Is the modem plug directly into the wall and your computer, or is connected to another box which is connected to your computer?
