Aeife felt a heaviness on her shoulders, unrelated to his grip. It was as if there was an unknown burden weighing on her. And suddenly she felt herself falling, though not a decline in morale or a mental tumbling into darkness as she first precieved. As it turned out, her bare foot got caught in a mess of roots that weaved though the top of the soil.
Before she knew what had happened, she was laying with her chest pressed against the chilling earth and her cheek laying against the soft petals of wild flowers. Her legs had become somewhat twisted in the fall, and though the position she was in was distorted and uncomfortable for her hip and knees, there was some pleasure in it. Her nose, dipped in the middle of a flower, smelled its fragrance deeply.
She moaned lightly as she rolled onto her back, her arms spreading away from her body almost as if they were wings of a wounded bird. A pained look crossed her face, her eyes shutting tightly and her lip twisting before parting with a sigh as her legs untangled.

Aeife hummed a moan through tightly drawn lips, her arms moving above her head, the sleeves of the tunic bunching up about her elbows so that her bare skin glided across the grass. For a brief moment, she had almost believed that she was lying on the warm grasses next to the ocean again, and that it was Shouyin her eyes would land on when her lids lifted. Her eyes opened slowly, only to find Gordon instead of Him with a darkening sky as a backdrop rather than the bright sun. At once the pleasure seemed to leave her face, reality providing a swift slap.
"I'm... I'm fine," her head turned away, looking away from the man above her. She was so haunted by His image... Her heart ached as she wondered if he knew how she felt for him... How she would always feel that way for him.

Aeife hesitates slightly, but then does take his hand and is brought to her feet. She looks warily at the blackening forest, and then it occurs to her that she is rather unnerved by the black things in the night. Afraid, even... She can say out loud that she wasn't, and she can make herself believe that she wasn't, but deep down there was always a lingering fear... Of the darkness, of the light... Just always there.
"I thought malicious things couldn't get through your magic barrier?"

"Lady Melia?" Melia looked up slowly, blinking her eyes for abit. She looked around, seeing know one. She got up quickly, her eyes still alittle blury from sleeping. She fell to one knee, holding her breath. "No one's here. No one was ever here."She muttered, getting up and making her way towards the dirt trail form wich she had started her journey.

Aeife looked away, avoiding gazing out into the wilderness any longer. It just made her a little more nervous each time she thought about what could be out there... Not so much for her own safety, but because she felt she had to protect Gordon. It was her duty, she decided, to protect and save whomever she could. It was something she was unable to do in her home village.

Aeife had gasped when Gordon pulled her down, completely unsure of what was going on. When he motioned for her to stay quiet, she complied, but couldn't resist looking around. It just occured to her how hard her heart was beating now that she was on the ground with him, out of fear or some sort of surprise maybe. Her eyes looked back to his, pleaing the question 'what is it'.

Ferret leaned down against a big oak tree. He was sleeping at the moment, the wind blew hard and leaves hit his face. A huge leaf flew towards his head, it covered his face. He then woke up and looked around, his ferret tail showed, which meant his was bored with this moment.

Aeife raised herself up to her elbows, her eyes growing wide with awe at the sight of the deer. He looked large, even from this position, with a lovely red colored pelt and a vast amount of antlers sprouting from his head. He was old... And very beautiful. Her lips parted in wonder, her eyes dancing with light from the moon and stars.
"He's... Glorious," she whispered, rising a little higher off the ground with her eyes always on the magnificent hart.

mmm... *watches the hart spring off*
the forest has so many natural wonders and beuties...it's humbling. it's a damn shame that so many people would rather get rid of it instead of working with it....*sigh* well, let's go...
