Haruko took a good look at the student. He really is quite handsome... but now was not the time to think of such things. She simply nodded in his direction and raised her bokken.
"After you..." she said to him in a soft tone of voice.

The young woman had made her way into the classroom. She was garbed in her 'new' outfit, but one thing had not changed - her waist length haori that covered her upper body. Her daisho swords were slid through the obi around her waist, and her dark hair had been pulled back in a stern braid. Wisps of hair fluttered down just over her eyes, and she had that fox type smile, the kind that reached the corner of her eyes, which were closed.
"Arigato," that deep twang that seemed to come from where she'd been raised, as she moved into class, and pulled her haori down off her shoulders, and dropped it down to the floor, along with her daisho, which she leaned carefully against the wall.
"Sorry 'ahm late. Guess I didn' keep tracka time. I figured' a little more practice will do me some good. 'Sides, I'm waiten for someone, 'fore I finish Hakuda." a brief glance is given around the classroom, before her arms flex, and she lifts a pair of bokken, checking the weight, the balance. Luckily for her, it was the same pair of daisho she'd been using before. They would do nicely.
"Hope ya'll're doin well." her head tipped, and she made her way to a central area of the class. "I'm Ran.. Ran Hana, nice t'meetcha."

Miyoko, for her part, remained lounging on her chair, keeping watch over the class, while pulling out a small knife, and whittling, yes, whittling, at a piece of wood.
She didn't pay attention to the movement of blade over wood, rather, she was focused on watching the students. She would give her criticism at the end of class, and in a class like this, she knew that using their blades for application would be easier than having them move through stances.
Everyone learned in their own fashion, and a couple here had already learned their shikai. It would take time for everyone else to catch up, but she knew that the others would learn by the example of the higher students, so she said nothing when Megumi and Ran joined the flock. She knew that both of them had a lot of potential. Everyone in the room did.
And after a bit, she stood.
"Yo, Aibou," a brief grin passed her face, at the purposeful use of the familiar term. "Be gentle on the kid, and I'll buy you some strawberry dipped pocky next time we're in the mortal world."

Megumi nods, and salutes with his wooden blade. Then he puts it in a position at his side that would normally make it 'sheathed', were it a normal sword. Shifting, he spreads his legs apart so that his right is slightly forward of his left, and apart. Taking a breath..he smiles..
"I'm normally a defensive fighter. I hate having to go first..but..since it was a lady's request, I shall not hesitate."
And then he moves..he's fast..and instead of 'unsheathing' the blade entirely, he thrusts it forward, right hand on the hilt, left hand holding the blade part of it..so that the pommel of the weapon is pushed at his opponent's chest, diagonally upward in the way it's moved. It's a quick, simple move, meant to knock an enemy back..

Within an instant Haruko's demeanor completely changed. When her opponent attacked, a grin grew on her face and her eyes narrowed. She quickly sidestepped out of the attack's way then jumped towards her opponent, bringing the bokken down towards Megumi's head.

"I'll take you up on that. I'll fight at about one fourth of my ability. That will make it difficult, but fair, wouldn't you say?"
And she waltzes over to the wall and sets her guitar down..before picking up a massive wooden Zanbatou. Now, normally this is considered a two-handed weapon..but Aichou just swings it around in one hand, and giggles. This should do nicely. Still, without the other half of her weapon style..oh well. It'll make do. She walks over, and tosses her teacher's robe, staying in that skimpy leather number. She taps her foot and nods..her eyes growing serious, and a little scary.
"Hikari, now's the time to show size doesn't mean anything in battle. Show me what kind of power you have. If you don't..I won't kill you..but you'll wish I had while the bruises are healing!"

Hikari beams. Is there a brain floating around in that cranium of hers? She knows the battle against Aichou will be lopsided, but that only means she'll gain that much more experience in sparring. She nods at her statement. "As long as I grow stronger!" Without a moment's hesitation, she charges, yes charges, Ai-chan. She does this with her left hand forward holding the short bokken down. When she gets in range, she leaps and tries a down, right-angled slash with the regular bokken at her opponent's chest while hoping to make a stable enough landing to sweep back around with the shorter.
It's obviously an attempt at a daisho style, but the lead seems to indicate a preemptive defense rather than all out offensive. Hikari's also showing her inexperience and strength-lacking body.

So this one's fairly quick as well. The feminine man's eyes flick at the motion of the weapon, and as it comes down, he finishes the unsheathing motion entirely, so it comes up and meets soundly with the attack upon his person. In this position, logically, the downward striking weapon would be meeting in the center of his own weapon, their intersecting forming a sort of cross shape.
This presents a problem, at least to those who fight in normal styles. But Megumi is nothing if not resourceful. He shifts as the weapons meet, arcing his own swordarm to the right, so the opponent's sword would, most likely, at least continue to arc foward; he'd be using the momentum of the swing against the fighter. Megumi would then in the same motion, reverse his stands, and slide his own sword up against the back of the opponent's blade as if it were like an electric current travelling up a wire to its source. The movement should allow him to strike his opponent with the blade right around the lower shoulder and torso area, cross-wise.

His sword slammed into her side, knocking her over. she was pretty sure she heard something crack, but it may have just been her mind playing tricks or her. She took a moment to regain her composure, then stood up,only to duck again right away and swing unsteadily at his left knee.

Aichou for some reason doesn't even bother to get out of the way. Those eyes of hers are scary, and for some reason, even though she's holding her actual power back..she doesn't go easy on the force. With a loud shrill kiai, she swings her Zanbatou around over her head kinda like Cloud from Advent Children, and delivers upon Hikari the same punt like Cricket-bat swing that Cloud pwned Kadaj with. Wheee!
Either way, it's a hell of a punt, that's for sure..they're going to meet in the middle..and then s**t's gunna hurrrrrt.

AZNchaos15 Long gave note to his attack as his strike missed with hitting Shunketsu. Long then backed-up from the attack with a half- shunpo step while re-capping his stance. His body quickly moved away as he now waited while quickly planning his next step

Long moved away and quickly retaliated with somersault following with a strike of his own while bringing the polearm down over the top with a downfall grasping it with vertical swing in the process.

(Megumi doesn't do enough damage to OHKO someone..the serious blow was Aichou's x.x Megumi's total damage is only 6-17. I just managed a hit, that doesn't mean you're pwned.)
