Lirian watched Hoelun try and free herself with a small laugh, before he looked to one side for a moment, something didn't seem right.

Hoelun heard Dars call out to her. She didn't move for a moment, and then slowly, the Guado raised her right hand with her thumb extended. She was okay! A few seconds later, she righted herself. "BAD CHOCOBO! Bad bad bad! No more greens for you, you silly bird! Sariel isn't food!"

She straightened her shawl and tried to look dignified. "Now all of the fiends between here and Djose will think I'm dinner!" she wailed. Her chocobo padded over to Hoelun and pressed its beak into her hand, drawing a reply of "SPOILED!" from the girl.

Calli nods then glances about. Where was Elizabeth? Suddenly Calli feels something nibbling her shirt. Calli turns her head and smiles up at the attention-seeking chocabo. "Why hello. You're hungry arn't you?" Calli smiles and leads him off a small distance over to a partch of greens and lets her chocabo eat while she absentmindedly scratches at its arched neck and behind its fluffly ears. She had at one time in her life very much wanted to be a chocabo breeder, now and days though she'd rather be a chocabo knight. Still being an escort to a temple was just as cool. Calli had to remember though that that was all it was, her uncle would be none too pleased if she disapeared for good.

"Want me to go check it out?" asked the young summoner "If it'll make you feel better, it's no hassle really. Was it Old road or New road do you think?"

Dars hopped on his Chocobo
"I'll be back before you can say 'Chocobaba'!"
With a flick of the reigns Dars set the big yellow bird into a run, off down the ramp that led to Old Road.

Dars was halfway along Old Road, looking around. He stopped, figuring he had come far enough, turned his chocobo and started to go back to the others. He heard a low growl behind him, a feral one that suggested the owner of that growl wanted the summoner's blood. Dars turned in the saddle and his eyes met those of a giant red chocobo
".....eep. HASTE!" Dars cast haste on his own chocobo and set it sprinting away, the red chocobo gave chase and kept up, even with Dars' in haste. He approached the travel agency and yelled

"CHOCOBO-FIEND ON THE HIGHROAD!"

The chocobo didn't seem to be effected by the spell, it seemed to be immune.

Calli lifts her head in surprise then blinks and watches silently, rather clueless as to what she should or could do. Calli blinks again as her chocabo nudges her cloak, though, where her staff was being held. Remembering Calli takes out the foot long bar of metal and hits the button in the middle and spins the staff. It extends at each end for about 2.5 feet as Calli spins it about before stopping with a click, a 1/2 foot blade shoots out as well, its silvery blueness reflecting in the light. That done, Calli runs over to join Lirian, staff/spear in hand.
