He pointed to himself. "Me? Uh yeah, I'm Khenu." Khenu tucked the lightweight metal boomerang into his belt, putting it out of they way. He kicked at the grass as he looked down slightly.

Ardra smiled slightly and slid down into a sitting position under the tree and looked up at him, "So how did you end up here?"

Khenu got slightly worried looking. "I um, I ran away from my village...they were going to...ah it's not important." Covering up his worry he gave a laugh and grinned at Ardra.

Ardra raised her eyebrow and thought to herself, 'Maybe if I open up he will too.' "That sounds similar to what happened to me, only I was chased away..because I accidently incinerated my foster parents..."

Bastet finished what she need to do and walked back to the courtyard. As she heard them talking, she stopped walking and just stood off to the side of the courtyard to listen.

Khenu plopped back into the grass as his eyes went wide. "Whoa...you did that?" He though for a moment. "I wasn't chased, well there was chasing, but I ran away on my own...they...wanted to kill me..."

Eclipse's head shot up, and his ears pricked as he head multiple voices. Looking to Saradin, he saw the man still busy and decided to give him a bit of alone time, maybe he was being a distraction. Smelling the air, he caught a new scent. He stood and walked in the direction his nose told him, soon coming to stand next to Bastet. He nuzzled her leg, then looked to Ardra and a Small boy, wanting to know how he got past his nose initially, the winged wolf let out loud bark.

Ardra sighed, "It makes me so angry how the normals just attack any who are different outright before even giving them a chance. I loved my foster parents, it's not like I wanted to kill them...Anyhow the people here...they'll accept you for who you are no matter what!" Ardra knew she was rambling but she couldn't help it listening to Khenu brough back the memeories of how she ended up here.

Bastet bent and hugged Eclipse, nuzzling the fur of his neck. "Hey, Eclipse, I havn't seen you in a while" She figured that it was ok to speak because her position was given away.

"Who said I'm different!?" Khenu jumped up and let out another involuntary squeak again at the bark. He turned and looked over seeing Bastet but also a rather large hawk dog. Dogs were not his friends. He practically froze. Well this was it, he was going to die, ripped apart by a hawk dog.

'Been watching Saradin reforge Soulforge. Cute kid, I'll go say hi.' He fluffed his wings and approached the boy. The kid was only maybe a foot taller than himself, and he looked scared to death. He barked again at the child.

Khenu gulped again and took a step back. He suddenly gritted his teeth and his hands went to his head, grasping at his hair as he shut his eyes tightly. Suddenly he phased, disappearing for mere seconds and reappearing about three feet away. Opening his eyes he realized what had just happened, and his eyes teared up, his secret was out.

Ardra smiled, "Any who come here are different in some way, I for example am a firestarter." Ardra looked up in surprise at Eclipse's bark then relaxed. "Hello Eclipse is Aura somewhere nearby?"

Bastet looked from Khenu to Eclipse, "That doesn't look like a god idea." When she looked back at Khenu, he wasn't there, he had phased three feet away. Her eyes went wide for a moment. Then she grabbed the scruff of Eclipse's neck, "Stay here." She walked up to Khenu, "It's ok, Eclipse wont hurt you, he's a big softy." She saw the mortified look on his face, "And no ones going to chase you out for phasing, there is already a guy here that orbs everywhere and freaks people out. Everyone here is different."

Eclipse looked at the boy strangely then snorted and turned a glance to Ardra. 'She's in the library doing something or other...' Turning his look back to Bastet and Khenu, he played the good dog act and sat down in the grass.
