Noah slowly became comfortable divulging his life to his lover as he sat there with Rose. His secrets didn't feel so heavy any more, but at the same time, the ward didn't feel the need to go into great detail about his exploits. "Trixie?" Noah mused, thinking back to when he met the little witch. "Well, it was shortly after I parted ways with Amos. The old man said my training was complete and had nothing more to teach. Just stay on 'the path'. Whatever that meant. One day, I met Trixie one the streets. She said she was looking for her brother and asked if I could help her. I was still kind of moody then, so I said no to her. But almost a second after leaving her, I heard her scream. I came running to find a rabid dog was about to attack her. So, I grabbed a nearby trashcan and threw at the dog, making it run away. And from there, Trixie has stuck to me like glue ever since." The ward smiled softly as he finished his short little story on meeting his foster sister. "To this day, I still laugh that she keeps on dressing like a mahou shoujo character." Noah sighed as remembered back to that day. "I guess 'the path' Amos might have been talking about was helping others. Makes sense, considering him..." The ward said trailing off into another memory.

The little witch breathed a sigh as she came to see Jack for what he was. Jack was still just a boy. She was going to remind him that Yvonne had a couple of books for Noah as well, plus to let them know they were going somewhere, but let it slide. "I just thought it might be nice to include them." Tried said to herself. Maybe one day Jack would learn more about how women's brains worked. "Ok. Let's go then." The little witch chimed. "No sense keeping Auntie waiting for us."

"I thought her clothes were normal." Rose commented about Trixie's clothing choice, but it also proved that Rose had never been to the human world. Her world was that of magic and one of the child of one of the most powerful families. "What do you know of Trixie's real brother? Could he be a wizard as well? Where is he?" the nurse turned her attention to the younger ward in the family.

"I think they have stuff on their plate." Jack commented as he pulled out a key that was on a necklace around his neck. He made sure the little witch's door was firmly closed then used it to unlock Trixie's door. On the other side was no longer the hallway of the Vega household, instead it was a mansion hallway that seemed to go on and on. Jack grabbed the girls hand and pulled her through with him. The portal disappeared and Jack put the key back around his neck. He then pulled her to a door and opened it. Inside was an office with his purple haired aunt working on paperwork and her son not far assisting her.

"Maybe at some anime convention." Noah snarked, thinking of his sister walking through some weeby convention center full of other people dressed up like on halloween. Further thought brought other scenarios in the ward's mind, such as acting like a bodyguard for the little witch. Rose then asked Noah if he knew anything about Trixie's real brother, to which he replied by shaking his head. "I don't think she actually has a brother." He said. "When Trixie started to follow me around incessantly, I asked her again about her brother. She said I was her brother. I guess it was some kind of test? Something you magic types do? Either way, I never found out the whole story. I just became her guardian. And then we came to Janhall and some fortune teller told us to come here. And here we are."

Trixie rolled her eyes at Jack's comment about Rose and Noah being busy. He must have still been on the whole pregnancy scare thing. But, before Trixie could properly remind the boy, she was pulled into another world. The bubbly girl could tell they weren't in their house anymore. This hallway seemed a little familiar. Jack then guided Trixie to door which lead the two into an office. When Trixie's eyes landed on Yvonne, she beamed and waved frantically. "Auntie Yvonne!" The witch squeak joyfully, obviously happy to see the woman.

"Still kind of creepy. Maybe I should ask her about it." Rose suggested. It was clear that she was going on a curious thought. "If she has a brother out there, then he could a wizard and with the talent Trixie has, Yvonne would also be interested in him as well."

Yvonne smiled and stood up as Alex started to gather some books. "Jack has been telling me that you're making speed on your studies." The woman told Trixie before turning to her nephew. "Please go ahead and get your goodies from the stockroom. I'll take care of Trixie till you get back." She told the boy who nodded and headed out of the room. When the boy was gone she turned back to the girl. "These books are filled with everything needed to be a proper member of the Vega family. Once you finish with these and school, you'll be ready to enter society as a proper woman. As a ward of the family, you'll also get your pick on any single man in the family." The woman responded with pride for the girl's abilities.

"You can try." Noah responded with an amused laugh. "Truth is, I still don't know a whole lot about Trixie's past either. Every time I tried asking her, she either clams up, changes the subject, or I think cast some spell and makes me forget. There are moments I just wish she wouldn't freeze up when I ask about her parents." The nurse of the family then went about how Trixie's "brother" could a valuable asset to the Vegas, if he ever did exist. "Nice to know Yvonne thinks so highly of those kinds of people." The ward said rolling his eyes. A tiny hint of jealousy lingering in his voice. Talent in magic seemed to higher on the totem pole of interest in the Vega family, and while understandable, it still got under the ward's skill, seeing he knew or possessed little magical abilities or prowess of his own.

Trixie stood with eyes wide as her famous aunt explained to her the path in life she was taking. It seemed like such a long prestigious life with tons of benefits. Images of the little witch all grown up and wearing lavish clothes and living a rich life style with a husband of all people. Of course, Trixie was probably getting ahead of herself on the matter and getting lost in a fantasy of her choosing. "That sounds amazing." Trixie squeaked, clapping her hands in front of her mouth. A slight blush arising from her cheeks as she thought of herself being a bachelorette being able to pick and choose from the family. Something about the idea was romantic to her, yet empowering.

Rose smiled and pulled him close. "That's aunt Yvonne, not me." The woman responded as she tickled his cheek a bit. "I like you much more than your sister." She joked to him as she got up. She then offered her hand to him. There was no point sticking around here. They may go somewhere more private.

Yvonne smiled at the girl's excitement. "Maybe I should give you a list of single men in the family." She joked a bit. "But before we continue we need to do some test. There are some spells that are specific to your type. It has to do about what your parents can do, siblings, what you like, and what your magical ancestor was. The Vega family came from fairies, so nature based attacks are easy for us. The final book we give you will be tailored to your needs." The woman told the girl as she clapped her hands. A wolfish man came into the room with a pile of books for the girl to read.

The sudden pull took Noah off balance. His head falling resting just above the bombshell's breasts. Rose did smell quite nice, which was partly why the ward didn't bother to move and simple nestled in. Listening to what his lover had to say made the ward cheer up a little. Deep down, she was right. So what if he wasn't at the top of the magical family totem pole. The young man was never one to care about hierarchical recognition, but rather someone to tear down and mock such social structures. Seeing Rose get up and over him a hand, Noah sat up on his own before taking the gesture. "Still feeling tired?" Noah asked, wanting to be sure the nurse had regained her strength.

Trixie listened quietly as her aunt explained the coming step for her. The little witch's eyes blinked with curiosity. She could hardly wait to see what kind of tests she would go through. Upon mentioning her parents though, Trixie noticeably retracted herself. Luckily, it was only for a brief moment as she realized Yvonne was only talking about Trixie's heritage in the past tense. The young girl wouldn't actually have to do any explaining of her own. The little magic user's eyes flicked to the sound of a door opening and entering a man carrying a large stack of books. Who was this person, she wondered.

Rose smiled that the man seemed to relax a bit. He then switched to make sure she was feeling okay. "Still a little weak, but nothing I can't handle. Sometimes Jack surprises me a bit. He would make a great doctor one day if he could just open up to people." The woman commented about her brother's actions.

The man set the books on a table near Trixie before looking over to Yvonne. "This is my butler, Frances." The woman commented. The man was blond and had the aura of a werewolf. "He's been with me since I was a child. He'll help us with some test, but first what do you know about your biological family? It will help us figure out the range of your powers. Alex will help by recording so we can revisit as magical science improves."

Noah offered the nurse an uncharacteristic helping hand to steady herself as they walked together. Rose mentioned the talent and potential her brother possessed as the ward helped her. On one hand, he agreed with her. The boy did have a lot of know how, but he lacked a certain quality needed to be a doctor of the people, and that was a certain social finesse. "Maybe he should get a girlfriend first." Noah joked lightly, unsure of what else to say. He only wanted to add more humor to the room.

Spoke too soon it seemed. Trixie was going to have to talk about her parents. A subject she was about as fond of talking about as Noah was talking about his past. She wasn't going to get out of this one so easily. But, just like Noah, the girl only needed the right person or circumstances to unload her secrets. Nevermind the stranger in the room, Trixie was more preoccupied with just divulging her secrets to Yvonne. What was curious, was how the witch didn't know from just talking to Jasmine. "My mother was a witch." The magic user said shyly, looking down. "She raised me on her own. I never knew my father, but my mother told me he was an angel." A faint smile formed on the little witches face as she shuffled her feet and hands. "It was probably just a euphemism."

Rose giggled at her boyfriends comment. "He would have to have a really stubborn girl fall in love with him. Someone who is resistant to being rejected a few times and continues to go after him. Jack is way too shy to make a first move." The blond commented to her lover as they started to go to their bedroom.

"Did you have any other relatives? Cousins, uncles, aunts, siblings?" The woman inquired as Alex started to write down all the information that they were being given. At this point Yvonne would have to do some additional test to figure out Trixie's best route.

After hearing what kind of girl it would take to woo Jack, Noah scoffed heartily. "I would think Jack would consider that kind of girl a stalker. I'm sure it would be same way if the shoe was on the other foot." The lover's soon came to there room. Hard to believe that even after a year, both of their rooms were still connected to each other to make one through interdimensional shifting magic. Noah himself only learned about that kind of magic a few months ago after taking some minor interests in the topic. "And here we are." Noah announced opening the door for the bombshell of a witch.

Trixie took a deep breath before answering. The little witch already knew the answer to Yvonne's questions, but was still hesitant to answer them. "No. Only Noah." Trixie replied sheepishly. "But, not by blood." For some reason, there was a hint of shame in the girl's tone as she answered. The little witch looked up to see Yvonne and then her butler before quickly averting her gaze from him. This butler gave off a very particular vibe to the girl. As Noah had told her before, intuition was nothing to scoff at during certain times. Trixie's intuition was telling her to be careful.

"I just think opposites for him." The witch confessed as Noah thought that it really didn't match her brother's personality. When Noah opened the door the nurse smiled and slipped in. She wanted to get out of the clothes she hand and wanted to relax. The blond started to strip herself of the clothing she had on and headed for an oversize shirt with a pair of short shorts.

"I see." Yvonne commented. They weren't really getting anywhere with the conversation so maybe they needed some action. "Why don't you show me the spells that are easiest for you."

Noah felt his eye trail off and watch Rose as she undressed herself. Her body had a thin sheen of glazed sweat that the ward noticed wiping down her back. Rose's heavy breasts hanging in her bra, swinging with the slightest movement. Noah felt his body start up a little at the sight. "I'm gonna go talk to Jasmine." He said, trying to protect himself from being a full on prevert. "There's something I need to talk to her about." At least the young man's statement was half true. He was going to to talk to the matriarch. Not that he needed to.

"Easist?" Trixie repeated. The little witch recalled all of the spells she knew, from basic cantrips to difficult alterations. Since Yvonne only asked for an easy spell, the little witch complied. Trixie began to focus energy into her hand. An ethereal ball of light as bright as a lantern formed in the palm of her hand. The little ball of light was then tossed into the air where is stayed, hovering over Trixie's head by just a couple of feet.

Rose smiled and turned to him. She was still only partely covering herself with her little bra and underwear. "Okay, just don't go setting Jack up with girls." The woman joked to her lover with a little giggle.

Yvonne smiled and nodded at the girl's powers. "Light? That's a rare gift. Our family usually controls nature better, but every once and a while we have children that have more light based abilities or half and half. It looks like Jack will be perfect for tutoring you since you share that much in common, but don't be afraid to as Rose as well since she can do both." Yvonne nodded to Alex who added a couple of books to the pile. "Oh, yes the list of suitors in this family." She added as the butler added to the pile.

"I wouldn't even know how." The ward retorted as he closed the door behind him and began to wander the house in search of the family matriarch. Noah was at the same time looking over his shoulder for Pierre and where he might be. While the man probably wouldn't just outright come and attack the young man, it never hurt to be careful. Noah walked down the stairs of the house with his hands in his pockets, searching the house and making sure to steer clear of any pranks or traps the twins might have set out while on his search for Jasmine. His best bet would probably to have either gone to her room or check the newborns. And so, Noah did, knocking softly on which ever door would hold what he was looking for.

The little witch blinked in a confused manner when told that light was a rare gift. The glowing orbs disappeared from existence and with it, her expression. Yvonne seemed to be impressed, but Trixie felt like she needed to do more. "I can do other spells!" She said, fumbling for her tarot deck and wand. "Sh-should I show you, Aunt Yvonne?" Trixie asked, holding up her deck and wand before clumsily spilling the card all over the floor. "Oops..." The girl felt she still had to prove herself, even though she clearly shown the head honcho of the family her qualifications.
