Dusk recognized Kai's scent. The mother wolf he had seen earlier. He followed the scent trail to Kai. He fell over from his physical state. He could just see the tops of her ears. He prayed she would notice him. He let out a sharp whimper.

Kai soon recognized the scent as one of the wolves that had wanted food. She walked towards him as she heard a whimper. Her voice was soft when she spoke, even though her face showed that she was ready to fight if necessary. "What's wrong?" She asked.
Mia nipped at Buck as he licked her nose.

Cynder soon joined in with buck and mia she nipped at buck and was helping mia.

Dusk let out a sigh of relief. "I'm...dying. Please let me rest here, with your pack. I promise I will protect them once I am back to health." he said, his voice was scruffy and almost above a whisper. His eyes showed his desperation.

Buck wiggles and laughed trying to fight back but eventually just gave up and laid there

Kai looked at the male and sighed. "Stay here, I'll return." She said as she turned and ran off into the field. She quickly located a fairly large rabbit. It didn't take her long to pounce on it and snap its neck. She picked the rabbit up and ran back to the male. She laid the rabbit down in front of him. "Eat this." She commanded.
Mia smiled slightly as she let Buck go. "Girls win"

Buck smiled and panted alittle. "Yeah for now." he chuckled and laid on his back wagging his tail.

Dusk was very grateful. He knew he had to eat the food slowly even though he was starved. After finishing the rabbit he went limp and relaxed his muscles. "I cannot thank you enough, I will do anything to repay you for your kindness, may I know your name?"

Kai watched Dusk eat. She nodded her head towards him as he spoke, then answered, "Kai is what they call me"
Mia grinned and wagged her tail.

Cynder wagged her tail and smiled. she had never seen Mia open up like this. she was happy that she finally made a male friend.

Buck yawned and laid down, keeping his eyes on mia. "Soo...." he laughed.

"And I am Dusk," he smiled. His ears twitched as he spoke. He had the upmost respect for this wolf now. He struggled to stand. "And I will always be around to protect you and your pack."

Dusk shrugged. He supposed he wasn't welcome here. "You see, i'm looking for a pack." he could remember many rejections because of his looks. First impressions seemed to always get him passed by or chased off.
