I think Giles would really make her happy. Not to mention he needs someone to loosen him up. Now if you'll excuse me, i have a crap load of buttons to post. am i the only one who remembers giles (prostitute/girlfriend thing) i mean giles, all he needs is to get laid and he is happy. buffy, so not right for him. rolleyes

I was a Buffy/Angel fan from the beginning and I'll probably stay that way. She and Riley never worked for me and I liked the relationship she had with Spike in the final season, but not the kind they had in season 6. But that's just my opinion 4laugh

Satans Sweetest Angel Giles 3nodding I think Angel/Buffy is nice, but I don't really think they should be together. The reason I don't like Spike/Buffy is because Spike just got...so...he just wasn't as cool after he was (as I like to call it) Buffy-whipped. And I like Riley, but not with Buffy whee "Buffy-whipped" is the perfect way to put it. i hate her so when he mooned over her i was sad and Riley's annoying and Angel needs to get over himself much like Buffy

Ohh Spike duh <333.Buffy/Angel...never liked that couple.Too much emotions in it.And Angel's too quiet for Buffy.Spuffy is the best couple in my opinion!

i hate dru for hurting him but she was awsome and the reason
she left him was becouse she could see the he would fall for buffy and
that he would go dust in the end. she had visions from the powers that be.
so she went ahead and left him. She was the ultimite goth girl. heart

This question is so hard for me because I totally support both Spike x Buffy and Angel x Buffy. However, I think that Angel x Buffy are soulmates, like in the cheesy romance novel/star-crossed lovers sense. xD They can never, ever be together and while their souls will forever be connected, their fates will never be. The entire thing with Angel and his "one true moment of happiness" being a ******** with just about anybody right pissed me off. I think they totally flubbed with that one but whatever!
Spike x Buffy was HOT. I mean steaming hot, passionate, etc. When Spike got his soul back, their lust I think evolved into something more akin to companionship and caring. And hell, even love at the end. I think it just might've possibly worked, if Buffy didn't have the worst luck in love... sweatdrop

In angel he has sex with the wearwolf and doesn't loose his soul.

Honestly... I think Buffy is doomed to a romance free life. Which I don't think is a bad thing. Though I think her interactions with Angel come Season 5 and 7 were sweet...and perfect... I think they should have a healthy connection without the sex. It's a true love but not a passionate love.
If anyone has read The Chosen (a virtual continuation of the show, which kiiiiinda omits the 5th season of Angel) there is a season 9 episode with a big class reunion in LA, and Buffy and Angel are sitting off to the side and have the following conversation which I think captures an adorableness but healthy relationship between us:
Angel: Just like old times (he points out Willow and Oz talking, Cordy and Xander dancing)...and then there's us
Buffy: Us?
Angel: Here, on the sidelines, brooding.
Buffy: I don’t brood. You brood. I pout… and you pout also.
Angel: I don’t pout.
As for Riley, Buffy seemed to just cling to him as her ideal of normality which is something she just never will have. (I seriously believe that at the end of the show when faced with the possibility of a normal life she realizes how crappy that would be). Riley wasn't exactly Joe Normal...but still.
Spike was too emotionally immature to hold a real relationship with Buffy. He had this "I love you. Therefore you must love me." logic going on, which is highly invalid. And Buffy was just using him. She clearly ends up caring about him, but not loving him.
No maleparts for Buffy.

Allow me to answer this question by referring to a much earlier post I made in another guild:willowtree I'm quite torn on the Buffy/Spike pairing.
Buffy+Spike in Season 6= evil evil evil (yuck)
Buffy+Spike in Season 7= 3nodding 3nodding 3nodding (not so bad, but not great)
It was almost like Buffy had two completely different relationships because she was with two completely different Spikes. Spike was still technically evil in season 6. Their relationship was so dark. It wasn't about emotions, it was about feeling. Feeling something, anything. It most definitely wasn't healthy.
Their relationship, or pseudo-relationship of season 7 was healthier, but kind made me think of it as being a bad imitation of the Buffy/Angel years.
The moral of the story: Buffy+Angel= whee whee whee forever!
